I thought all negotiations with Suter were done by phone.

He met with Detroit and Minnesota in person at his farm. Leipold, Fletcher and Yeo took the jet up to I-Falls to pick up Sheehy before flying over to Madison to meet with Suter.

There were rumours that Detroit sent a squad to Suter's farm on July 1st without him knowing, but I think it was just a rumour. They had officially scheduled meeting on the 3rd before ours I think.

When the Wild and Detroit met with Suter and his agent on July 3, it wasnt at his farm. It was somewhere in Madison. Suter's farm is located outside of Madison. Suter made the trip up to Madison to meet with everyone.

Sort of...?

As far as I know, the story was that they set out to go to his farm, flew from Detroit to an airport in Wisconsin, and when they actually touched down in Wisco, they learned that Suter did not want anyone at his farm, so they turned back.

I could be wrong though.

I thought they never left Detroit on a plane before being told not to go. They made it to the airport to do so, but then never boarded the plane.

So they just deleted the whole thing? Aww. That was the most fun thread to read too.

He felt it would be better to play with the Wild WITH Suter than either without, so he went hard after Suter to sell him on it. Sounds like Detroit was going after Suter much harder than we were, but Parise took over. He then took a smaller contract so they would both get the same money. Anyone want to question him getting a letter?
That's letter material with any fan base except one. I'll give you no guesses, because it should be obvious at this point.

Yeah, anytime I am feeling down all I have to say to myself is "We got Suter AND Parise" and I feel better.

Does anyone know if Detroit split the tab for that with us? Cause they talked with Suter and his agent that day too. They should have split the tab with us. Then again, we did kind of... well yeah.

I just scrolled through the devils board and what their fans post is hilarious! According to them, Zajac is unquestionably better than koivu. One guy said he expects us to finish in the bottom 5 next year.

And this is our "terrible lineup"

Parise Koivu Heatley
nobody nobody nobody
nobody nobody cluster****

All I've got to say is thank God Midwestern Suter, refused to go out east. lol

I also have to wonder how close Suter was to signing with Detroit. The way some of the tweets went, it appeared it was all but a done deal. I really wonder if he was that close to signing with Detroit or if that was a bunch of sht and it never was the case.

dont forget also that Greg Wyshnosbgrdhgki is an avid devils fan, he probably is going to watch a lot of wild games and finally someone from that blog is going to have a realistic judgment about our team.

I saw that, yet I don't recall seeing any post from a Wild fan making that claim.

I refuse to take any fan seriously who now says that Parise is no good when on July 3rd they desperately wanted him re-signed. If he's no good and they're glad he isn't on the team anymore, then why are they upset?

Gotta be careful with those NMC's.

Single = UFA
In a relationship = RFA
Engaged = multi-year deal with short-term NTC
Married = NMC and totally #$@!ed.

Just one more reason why I can't wait for the season to start. Can't wait to see NJ fans make up a bunch of excuses as to why we're doing so well.
