Perhaps he jumped the gun on his bio and is headed elsewhere (perhaps back close to home) Peterborough. Of the 3 over-agers from last year I'd guess the one most likely to stay would be Posa and the one with most value trade wise is Braithwaite. (IMHO)

Well, the Rangers just acquired Alberga from Sarnia, so my guess is the Braithwaite stuff is nixed.

Why would it be nixed? They still have 2 OA spots to fill and Alberga is a forward.

Nope, only had the possibility of one OA (Crescenzi) but he's been told he'll be with the Marlies, and didn't attend training camp. Kitchener had nada, now they have one.

Why does Rychel trade a 2nd and 3rd for Schoenmakers and Rangers have to deal only a 6th rounder to get Alberga?

Schoenmakers is a better player? I'm guessing that has a lot to do with it.

A couple of interesting tweets.

A couple of interesting tweets in the last hour.

@KitchenerHockey -In regards to yesterday's tweet, it does not look like the Braithwaite trade has been done. I'll update when info comes available.

@Braith05 -Sometimes you gotta take a step back and look at the big picture

Schoenmakers is a good kid and he should do well in Windsor, but i feel a 2nd and 3rd is kind of a steep price.

Yea huge not saying he's not a good player, it's just the fact that the spits are in tough for picks for the next 5 years and to throw away a 2nd and 3rd for an overager is a head shaker unless theres a plan for a trade coming up which includes high picks coming are way.

Yeah especially with the fine it makes it worse trading away draft picks.

Do you think Rychel will make any more trades be it rookies, free agents or veterans? Do you think Pavs is safe for now? Can the current tenders pull ahead or is this a weak link?

With Kuchmey being sent to Strathroy Rockets (GOJHL) it looks as if WR will go with the duo of Pavelka and DeKort for the start of the season. I'm sure if things don't work out a change will be made. Gotta give them a shot to see if they can handle it.

You can expect WR to make some deals as we have too many players at this point but IMHO you will see picks coming back in return, not players.

CHL Transfer Agreement Has Expired

This is a portion of an article from the London Free Press that I thought might be of interest....Please go to their web site for the full article..........
http://www.lfpress.com/sports

Scott Harrington's future with London Knights in question

The Canadian Hockey League's old transfer agreement with the NHL has expired, and though it is separate and distinct from the NHL's collective bargaining agreement with its players, there has been some hope, with Tampa Bay GM Steve Yzerman among the most outspoken proponents, of allowing elite 19-year-olds with three years of junior under their belts to jump to the American Hockey League, which wasn't permitted under the previous arrangement.

Harrington fits into that latter category. He is a top-notch 19-year-old with three years of junior hockey to his name.

“It is what it is,” London head coach Dale Hunter said. “You really don't know what's going to happen. If it's decided talented guys like a Ryan Murphy in Kitchener and Harry's in that category, too, are allowed to go up, then you just wish them the best.

Boughner was interviewed by CTV news and he said Braithwaite is not practicing with the team due to "personal issues." He wouldn't comment on details, but said it was not hockey related.

Take this as you may, but I'm hearing Czinder and Braithwaite both on their way to Kitchener. It's not first nor second hand, but it's something to think about.

Good. Czinder is useless to this team and Our depth defensively should allow the move.

Given the on again off again reports concerning Braithwaite and now rumours of Czinder suggests to me the possibility of a 3-way trade along the lines of: Spits send B&C + to K for a player. K flips B & another player to E for a player. E in turn sends an overager to the Spits. Far fetched...hell yes.....

Wow, Czinder and Braithwaite to Kitchener? If they are interested in paying the going rate for decent OA's to get these two guys then I'm all for it. I think both are decent players, but they are also expendable with the addition of Sieloff and Schoenmakers who are both upgrades. It would open up an OA spot in case we do need that veteran help between the pipes later on. As much as I'd bemoan the loss of Czinder's wicked hockey hair, Schoenmakers could revive his Hartnell like 'fro to make sure we don't lose any cool from the lineup.

The kid brings a bit of everything, from experience and leadership to scoring and physicality. I don't care if he just scores garbage goals and doesn't have elite skill, there's no bonus points for style in hockey anyway.

So if our overagers are headed to Kitchener, what is heading back this way? Perhaps the reason that the dominoes haven't toppled yet is a 3rd team's involvement like punch suggested. If we get something like Palazzese and Bezuch for Czinder and Braithwaite then we'd have to deal Pavelka before making the trade. Those seem to be the guys on Kitchener who could be had for various reasons, so I'm just throwing them out there. Thoughts?
