this is the one thing that always scares me about the UFC ppv situation, i am not a "huge" wwe fan but i do kind of follow it , i am however a HUGE ufc fan, but the thing is at least with WWE you know you are getting a good ppv no matter what (at least most times) but it is always so damn scary with UFC , the ppv could be 2 min fights and your out of $59.99 or it could just be a complete **** night like tonight, still love UFC just getting tired of these piss poor cards and really hope they limit the # of ppvs per year so we can have better cards..
on Fuel. Basically saying how can any referee let two guys clinch on the cage for two rounds...called the fight "disgusting." He gave props to the prelims and main event but buried the under card for good reason.
First time I've been to a UFC event live and that definitely wasn't what I expected.
Prelims were good and very entertaining but it was all downhill from there. I'd love to say the live atmosphere made up for the mediocre fights but that wasn't case. Waste of money but oh well, what can you do.....
The Riddle fight was good. He always tries to put on exciting fans. I'm glad he got the finish and the $65K. Well deserved.
I just read on twitter about Kongo's shoulder injury but I don't care, I'm tired of the guy. It's not the first time he has been involved in an awful fight. **** Kongo and Jordan.
Lombard's performance was an embarrassment. Deserved every boo he got and the octagon jitters stuff is a bunch of BS. Him being nervous caused him to stand around like an idiot and not do anything? Boetsch apparently broke his foot in the 2nd round and he was still moving around better than Lombard? Maybe they can send him back to Bellator after Munoz beats him. What a bum.
The main event was decent but nothing special. I don't agree with all of the boos for that fight but the people saying is was a really good fight are probably the same people who were calling Cruz/Faber the fight of the year. Good technical fight but that's about it. Barao looked good and he was in control from start to finish but it seemed like he never really went for the kill.
No weight class below 155 should be headlining a PPV card.
Definitely a candidate for worst card of the year.
UFC really needs to cut down on the PPVs. You come off a great UFC 148 just three weeks ago and we already have another PPV. The PPVs really need to be cut down. The prelims were great, but the main card was just bad. If I were Dana, I'd be ****ing pissed right about now.
