What would you be willing to give up for Lombardi, Bozak, or Connolly?

I know Islanders fans want nothing to do with this but I really think that Matt Lombardi would fit in really well on that team.

LOL, why would the Isles have any interest in Lombardi? To help the Leafs out?

No, and they shouldn't. After almost earning a spot on the roster he suffered a major groin strain in the last days of Camp. After coming back after a couple weeks he took a jumping elbow to the head in dallas. after that he was completely lost mentally and could not find his groove or work his way off the fourth line. He will go down to the AHL and get first line minutes with two other big prospects Nelson and Kabanov. He than can work on his confidence and get himself back onto the NHL roster.

I liked the Bozak for Anders Lee proposal.

I want Filppula but not at the expense of a defenseman. I'd rather trade Bailey plus picks and prospects for a 2nd line center.

Moulson-Tavares-Okposo
Grabner-(New Acquisition)-Boyes
Martin-Nielsen-Ullstrom
Joensuu-Reasoner-Boulton

Actually, that 4th line is awful.

I've heard there are people out there who take everything said on TSN as gospel and are to lazy to actually figure out what kind of situation a player is suited for.

I respect your opinion cause it shows alot of supporting evidence.

I really really really like Filppula but Strome is destined to be our second line center. Plus no way are we moving impending UFA Streit for an impending UFA Filppula, Streit can easily be resigned.

Like someone said before we are looking for a one year stop gap, the ones mentioned could be had for "Future Considerations" or off of waivers.

We need something for just this year. I think of the time the Devils traded a 2nd rounder for Jason Arnott. I'd love to add Arnott fwiw. Also, if Boyes plays center, then we'd need winger help for the top 9.

I've considered it. What's the deal with him now? I used to love him and his speed.

I would prefer the Leafs traded Bozak for help now, but I like Nino's potential. I like the kid's size and he has a bit of a mean streak.

you mean the bozak who is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season? i don't think too many teams trade 5th overall draft picks for one year rentals who have a lot to prove.

If Boyes plays center we're screwed. Buffalo fans will tell you that he is not suited as a center. He's much better at the wing when playing top-6 minutes. If he's not playing on the 1st or 2nd line on RW, he's going to be useless.

I think he needs another year in Bridgeport.

Dougie Hamilton for.....oh wait...

I mean, Sean Couturier will do just fine.

Anyone have a time machine? In all seriousness, I like Josh Bailey. Hopefully he can have a breakthrough year and become a really good 2nd line C. I like him on LW, too, but NYI needs a centre now.

What's the cost of Malkin from Pittsburgh. Would fill 2nd line center hole nicely.

Matt Cullen is a passable 2nd line center that could probably be had(if he would waive his NTC). Granted he is not much better(if at all) than Nielson but it would give two solid 2nd/3rd tweener centers. Nielson probably looks better in a 3rd line role. Probably wouldn't cost that much. 2nd-4th +prospect(pick depends on the prospect). Granlund is going to push Cullen to Wing, so he could probably be had.

Nyi should not even be considering trading strome or nino, maybe Bailey to a winning team for some veteran help.

Not sure if serious.

Grabner, Strome, Nino, Nelson, Hamonic and Cizikas?

That about right Pitts fans?
