Given the context of "AINEC" on these boards, I think the correct definition would be "And I'm Not Ever Correct".

On topic: I was really hoping Grigs would fall to the Flames when he made his way down the draft list. Darn Buffalo. That said, the Flames now have The Big Jankowski, the player with the real highest ceiling in the draft (AINEC).

Anybody that drafted a forward ahead of Grigorenko besides Yakupov or Galchenyuk I feel made a mistake.

Touche, although Stefan's failures were enough I wager he would be noticed regardless but I agree with your point. Frankly, this draft has the potential for numerous success stories. People have been underrating a number of prospects. Rielly and Frosberg are prime examples to join Grigs.

Coveniently re-arrange some of those letters and they spell MIKHAIL.

Just sayin'

Re-arrange a few other letters and you get 18 of the 26 letters of the alphabet. You could make almost ANY name.

A 4-5 year ELC would not be very alluring for European players. KHL would become a factor then.

This is actually a 35+ contract. Could come back to bite Buffalo in the ass.

My hunch is that Grigerenko/Girgensons/Adam will likely compete for a spot given how the roster currently looks.

Vanek-Hodgson-Pominville
Foligno-Ennis-Stafford
Leino-Grigorenko/Girgensons/Adam-Ott
Gerbe-McCormick-Kaleta
Ellis, Scott

(Ott/Pominville might be flipped to balance out the lines)

Should be an interesting training camp, that's for sure.

Just rather amusing to witness.
Some were clamoring hat he was going to be a bust. Some were not. I can tell you to look at the Buffalo draft thread and man wanted him form the time they were in the cellar mid-season, trhoug the day before the draft. Obviously, no one really knows.

If he ends up a true number 1 center and was drafted at 12, then it is a steal and potentially the steal of the draft, (even though he had been projected a top three). This is not about Toronto or Montreal. Its about Buffalo signing a player that has the potential to end up stud center, whcih this team has not had since Pat LaFontaine.

Grigorenko will be a better player than Yakupov, but Yakupov will shine faster.

Be it his ankle, the mono, the run on defensemen or scouts just souring on the kid... I'm just happy he's a Sabre. There is so much potential there, I'm looking forward to what he does with it as he matures.

I think it was pretty obvious that Yakupov, Murray and Galchenyuk would go top three. They don't regret it one bit.

Then there are teams like Minny, Anaheim, and the Islanders who already had top line centers in Koivu, Getzlaf, and Tavares and prospects like Granlund, Strome, etc.

Those teams were looking specifically at getting defense, so cross them out.

So subtract another 3. So about 3-5 teams will look like geniuses or regret not taking him.

It is absolutely ridiculous that guys like Slater Koekkoek, Hampus Lindholm, Derrick Pouliot, ect went before this guy. Incredible how stupid those teams will feel IMO. Might become the best player in the draft.
