PHI's next 4 1st rnd picks

The Weber thread is mostly about NSH matching. Let's assume they do not and acquire PHI's next 4 1st rnd picks. If they were to turn around and move those picks, what could they get?

I'll throw one out there:

Philly's 2 1st rnd picks (2013, 2014) to Calgary
for

Jay Bouwmeester

Philly's 2 1st rnd picks (2015, 2016) to San Jose

Havlat, Demers, McLaren

I am not one of those that think J-Bo has no value but I would guess 2 first rounders is a wee bit to high. Maybe one of them

2 first round picks years out for a top-6 forward and a young, right hanged puck mover with top-4 potential?

Boumeester played the toughest minutes in the NHL last season.

Well they could try to make a complete rebuild and keep the 2013, try to aquire another 2013 with the 2014 and I doubt they can get anything for the rest of the picks right now.

If Preds want to take on almost 6.6 million of Bouwmeester salary, why not just match Weber?

Term. Actual Salary being paid out etc.

They would gladly pay Weber 7-8 million, but that is not the case.

the highest value nashville will get for those picks is from philly, in a chris gratton situation, because then the trade becomes: four first round picks and agreeing not to match to offer sheet for x.

so i'd say Voracek, Meszaros/Coburn, Manning/Gustafsson.

The sharks need to get faster, not trade away one of our only fast skaters.

I think if they are looking to trade the picks they would get the most value out of Philly. The Flyers would probably give up more value than the picks to insure Nash doesn't match the offer sheet.

He is a very good defensive dman but he is also extremely overpaid.
His offense is non existent at this point and he avoids contact.

No way is he worth multiple first round picks. Especially with one of them being in the deepest draft in a decade.

The way contracts are given out today, he isn't really that overpaid.

You have to remember, there is a very good chance most of those first rounders could be high 20s. I'd say two of them is fair value for Jbo, especially considering Calgary could use the cap relief.

or the ones where he always faced the best opposition with a player that had no business being on an NHL top pairing.

1. philly offersheeted chris gratton

2. (random dealings with a fax machine and the blackhawks that have no relevance to this situation)

3. Esposito and Clarke work out a trade that is better compensation than four firsts: Renberg and Dykhuis (actually, they supposedly agreed to another deal, which was Brind'Amour + Renberg + Dykhuis, but it was vetoed by flyers ownership so espo just agreed to the two)

4. Tampa declines to match the offersheet.

5. Tampa trades philly's four firsts for Renberg and Dykhuis.

I think the year was 1997, but i'm going off memory here.
