I hope jersey sales suffer because of this & the other leagues either leave the advertisements off retail jerseys in the future, or better yet, never put ads on their jerseys.

I don't want to be sporting a Brooklyn Nets/Exxon Mobile jersey.

I can't stand how the Euro teams unis look. The goalies especially look like billboards.

on the helmets i would be ok with small ads. However i think that the NHL should bring in the sponsors not the clubs. then take the money it generate and pass it to small market teams.

Oh man I couldn't resist this being one of the sponsors...

I was under the belief that the main reason European soccer teams had ads because they really don't have any commercial time during games right? If the NBA really makes a killing on this it's really only a matter of time before another sport takes the plunge and the only one I think that would never do it would be MLB.

I for one will never wear a jersey with an advertisement on it. If it comes down to is I will literally rip the patches off before wearing newer jerseys.

I'm not for it in any what whatsoever. There are enough ads everywhere else in the rink. Keep it off the jerseys and helmets.

But the Bob's Furniture photoshop job was freakin' hilarious.
