Aurora, CO Movie Theater Shooting

I'm sorry to start a thread on an opposing teams board, but I live in Colorado Springs and I hope everyone up in the Denver/Aurora area is okay.

Quotes from theweek.co.uk

"A baby was shot at point blank range, the family were gathered around screaming.

One witness told CNN about "a guy slowly making his way up the stairs and firing - picking random people"

It sends chills down my spine poor victims and the ones they leave behind.

This blows big time. People don't deserve this stuff. It is not right. I hope their families can find solace in this terrible time and that the gunman gets what he deserves.

Finnish media has decided that it happened in Denver.

edit. Example:

Horrified and absolutely disgusted. I seriously am in shock and cannot believe this would happen... at a BATMAN premier. My thoughts go out to anyone and everyone who has been impacted in any way by this senseless act of violence.

It brings tears to my eyes. Families. Kids with their parents. Teens with their friends on summer vacation. Moms and dads with their kiddos. Disgusted, appalled, and heartbroken.

I JUST moved to Denver (unreal job opportunity) and cannot believe this happened. Painful memories of Columbine came flooding back this morning.

I think she was an intern for one of the local sports radio stations too.

Just an awful tragedy. I can't understand how a person would think that walking into a movie theatre and killing people would solve anything in their lives.

A bit off-topic, but isn't there any age limits for movies in Aurora? How came there was so young kids among the victims?

Really saddened to hear this, crazy to think there are people like this out here, at a Batman premiere of all places :\

Hope no-one on HF was affected by this.

Not sure in America, but pretty sure in Australia if your accompanied by an adult you can see a movie above your age requirement, apart from R [PG, M, MA]

That just makes me sick right there... it's like the event followed her to Colorado. Reading her tweet 20 minutes before the movie started is extremely haunting and very sad.

My prayers are with the families involved.

This is one sick individual who did this. But, no punishment will serve any justice in this situation... what he did, you can only hope he burns in hell for.
