I was wondering about that. Not exactly a kid-friendly movie.

Not that it matters...

Unreal, thoughts and prayers are with all the families involved in this tragedy.

Scary to think that theyre are people out there like this, and that this could have just as easily happened anywere in the world.

And thats just sick for the poor girl who experienced the Eaton Centre shooting, and now was killed in this shooting. Words cant even explain that.

This is terrible disgusting news. Apparently the killer made a post on 9gag saying he was going to do it beforehand. Feel so sorry for all those people.

Just wanted to send out some love to anyone that's out there in the area, I too was a midnight screening in my area so when I read what happened it kind of resonated. My thoughts go out to anyone whose been affected. Horrible news. This must be crippling, I'd imagine some people were still affected by Columbine, now this.

I'm nauseated. So disgusting. So many people still in critical condition as well. I hope we don't see the body count rise today.

It's a PG-13, not R.

This sucks man.
I lived in Aurora for 4 years, very close to the mall and the theater, and I taught there for 3 years. My wife and I used to go to movies at that theater. We moved, on purpose, before starting a family. While we lived there: double murder in the Blockbuster parking lot, shooting at the Aurora mall, stabbing at my middle school, and surely others I can't recall at the moment. Aurora can be a pretty scary place. I can't believe this happened. immeasurably sad and angry right now. Scared for and trying to contact the former students I still speak with as well as a few former co-workers.

Yeah, that part of town isn't really the safest area of Denver. I drive over there for part of my job.

I think it is important to get into social media now (forums included) and post something. The minute you post something, people know you are safe. Everyone even remotely close to Aurora should do that. Most of people in Denver Metro Area have some friend or family member further away wondering at this very moment that are you safe.

It's the same reason why hilter killed so many people, they have nothing to live for anymore.

I moved to aurora when I first came to Colorado, it has some really good parts, but it's known for its crimes especially in the northeast.

I just can't believe that this guy planned before hand. Right when the movie theater was full and handguns placed around the theater before hand.

I'm no longer in Aurora, moved 6 years ago. But what you suggested is exactly what I did...got onto facebook and messaged each of my friends there & asked them to post something. Still waiting for responses.

You're right, there are some nice parts of Aurora. Two things I always noticed when I lived there: How little time/space separate the nice parts from the dangerous ones...literally one street over and you're in a very different place. And that there was a very visible effort to try and clean the area up and make it nicer. Always felt safe at the new town center, but drive just a few blocks in the wrong direction (north or east, like you said) and, not so safe feeling anymore.

The psycho's room is rigged with explosives.

Seriously, can we just go mid-evil on this monster, set an example for what should happen to people who commit senseless crimes?

This is terrible. I really can't understand whats wrong with people to do this. It's not the nicest part of Aurora, but really? How selfish and shortsighted can you be to do this?

OT: Kind of unnerving that I went to this movie in Aurora last night (albeit in a nicer side of town).

Sounds like Dater was good friends with the Sports girl who was killed. Gotta feel for him today.

The Apartment is creepy. Sounds like its filled with explosives. Thats gotta be an eerie feeling for the officers and those trying to stop the eplosives.

What makes me wonder is that these people used to be "I'll just commit a fancy suicide, take some innocents with me too", but now these people (Breivik, Hiltunen, Aurora's lunatic) are like "I'll just kill a couple and go to jail". I wonder if this way is somehow easier to do and thus making this world even more dangerous.

The worst side is that no matter what we do, these will always happen. You can't make the mental health care good enough, it doesn't matter if you make all weapons illegal, it doesn't matter if you put army on the streets 24/7, these will always happen. It is very sad, but it is true.
