Yeah she was at Avs training camp talking to Dater about internships and how she got a job for a local paper or blog and said she would be seeing Dater a lot because she covered hockey.

I live about 2-3 miles from that theater. Thank goodness I was at home with a migraine last night.

My thoughts go out to all the people invovled...except the ****** that did it of course. Hope he rots in hell.

Well a lot of shooters have been on prozac-like psychotherapist prescribed drugs. Part of the reason why there's an entire manchurian candidate type of conspiracy on those things.

And putting the army on the street for example is just letting them win and having a sort of martial law for no reason. It used to actually be illegal for the army to work against or attack against citizens on US soil but Bush changed that.

Heartbreaking blog entry by the brother of Jessica Redfiled who was one of the victims and a NHL blogger:

You can't prepare for crazy. I hope that he explains himself before he ultimately gets what he deserves. What bothers me is that apparently a reporter tracked down his mother in San Diego and she wasn't shocked that he did this and said that she was sure that it was him. If she knew he had this in him, what measures did she take to get him help? Though, from the sounds of things he was beyond help. On a side note, I'm curious about how this effects future midnight release films, as this is going to make people apprehensive for some time.

Jessica's blog entry after the Eaton Center shooting is very powerful and had me very emotional reading it knowing she had passed away.

"I was shown how fragile life was on Saturday. I saw the terror on bystandersí faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we donít know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath."

A gutless act. There is nothing that can justify this act. Truly terrible.

I agree with that one too. It's a lose-lose situation anyway.

They just did a story on Jessica and her experience in Toronto on the News Channel Im watching.

So unfair, just exeriencing one shooting is unfair, for her to not only experience a shooting again, but also be a victim and have her life ended so quickly just isnt right. Unreal.

Odds are there are a few people in jail with connections to Aurora who will make however long his life lasts as miserable as possible.

I'll keep my post short as my true thoughts about the shooter would probably get me warned/banned.

RIP to all the people who lost their lives, and my deepest condolences to all those impacted by the tragedy.

Just insane. I've been to that theater numerous times in the past. It's not even 15 minutes from my house.

All my best to the victims of this senseless act of violence.
