I sure hope the Bruins don't pay Rask 6.5 a year.

Nikolai Kuleman 2yrs avg 2.8 mil. 7 goals, 21 assists

Lucic (26/35), Seguin (29/38), Marchand (28/27) and Caron (7/8)

Rask is also an RFA but I think he gets a contract somewhere around what Price just received.

Thoughts ?
What Rask gets depends on the year he has. I hope he plays well enough to get a Price contract.

For sure, as he should. And I hope he does, because that will mean great things for the Bruins.

there will be a new cba so chances are these years contacts wont matter for next year's deals

will have to wait till the dust settles before we figure things out.

if the owners hard line stance wins out... we will be glad we dont have to sign everyone this year and can wait till next year

Agreed, if he gets Price cash it'd mean he had a heck of a year which is never a bad thing.

Rask's agent could have done much better on both of the deals he's signed with the Bruins. I'm hoping that trend continues.

Maybe, this appears more to be a case of TR and his agent knowing full well that Chia, if Rask performs as hoped is the goaltender moving forward and this is simply the case of a good fit for all parties involved

Marchand is going to get $4.5 million for the next three years after he pots 30+ in the regular season and rips it up in the playoffs.

If Rask gets Price's contract, then Rask won the Vezina in the dominating fashion Thomas did in '11. That's the beauty of this 1 year deal. Either way, he's getting signed long term.

So please, get Price's contract.

I think Seguin gets 5.5 for a fairly long time depending on the season he has, Marchand gets 3.5-4. Looking at around ~5 for Lucic too. If we resign Horton he won't be getting a big raise. 4m for his 2010-11 year is very fair. If he can't put up 20 goals, he's not re-signed.

Even if he has a similar season to last year, I think $5.5 million is a pretty low estimate for Seguin, especially with the cap where it's at (which of course could all change soon though).

True. That first extension he signed though... Still can't believe it was so low.

Unless he's a PPG, which isn't too unreasonable, I can't see him getting over 6m.

Look at what Chia gave Lucic for a "potential" contract under a lower cap though. And Seguin has already proved more at this point, not to mention we haven't had to give someone with his potential a contract for a very long time. I dunno, I'm hoping for the best, but I'm expecting him to be pretty damn pricey.

Something around these would be good

Seguin 5mill
Lucic 5mill
Rask 4mill
Horton 4mill
Marchand 3.5mill
Ference 2.5mill

5mill increase total, which is the same total as thomas contract that is coming off the books. I still like the idea of trying to sign Semin for around 5mill. He is not the typical Bruin, but he is the skilled sniping power play specialist they are missing.

Lucic-Krejci-Semin
Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
Pevs-Kelly-Horton
Merlot/ Caron

With Spooner, Knight and Koko on the horizon that an amazing group of forwards

Lucic is/was the highest selling shirt and moves alot of product. He offsets his salary in other ways. The only concern is the cap hit. His intangibles sell tangibles

Too hard to guess with the new CBA, my general impression is Marchand is getting underrated here and Seguin will be the highest paid foward if he hits a ppg next year.

Horty has to play at his highest level, no setbacks from his concussion in any way to even come close to that number IMO, the number itself isn`t unreasonable if healthy but that`s a huge if as we all know

If, gawd forbid, we see issues stemming from the concussions, as hard as it would be as a GM, ya have to let that player go eventually

Versteeg just got 4years @ $4.4m. I'm sure Lucic and Marchand's agents are liking that quite a bit.
