If Nashville is about to go into rebuild mode, there is no point in trading Wilson.

I would have thought San Jose had enough centers

Yes and no... Despite what many Sharks fans hope for, the org most likely doesn't want to use Pavelski or any other top six forward currently on their roster as third line center.

Handzus was pretty bad last season.

If we get Doan, Pavelski is going to be the 3rd line center, traded for a very good 3rd line center++, or traded for an upgrade on the wing. Maybe Clowe+Pavelski for a superstar.

I would have taken a 'pretty bad' over how he actually was.

I'm not sure but I think Wilson plays more as a left wing.

In order of how you stated

I don't think so,

No way in hell would they replace Doan with Pavelski as a top six forward

It would be very hard to find an upgrade to the wing. Pavelski plays very well there and in a way the Sharks highly value

I certainly hope not

Yea Wilson hasn't played center since 2009. He's had much more success at wing. Probably not too late to switch him back, but it's not gonna happen under Trotz.

Doesn't matter the Sharks need a lft wing too

Id propose an offer but at this point its operation cap floor for the Preds, so there is no trade to be had

Why does Nashville trade a 22 year old who is 5 years from UFA for a soon to be 30 year old who is 1 year from UFA? Especially since they are about to rebuild?

The preds get a proven veteran power foward. He is a good leader and will stick up for his teammates. He would help Nashville up front.

Make the 3rd a conditional which is only sent if Clowe signs.

If/When they match the offer sheet I think they are going to try to make the playoffs. I doubt they rebuild with Weber and Rinne.

Doan is a better winger than Pavelski.

I doubt it would be hard. Pavelski is an average winger, but a great center. I hate him on the wing. He is miles better when centering his own line.

There's no guarantee that's true. Everything I've heard from McLellan or Wilson has Pavelski as a top-6 forward on our team.

Sign him to an Oshie-esqué deal and we swap

I would love to have Wilson, but I don't see any reason for Nashville to trade him except in a package for a star.

Nothing to see here, Preds fans. OP is notorious for always making offers for the same few players.

He scored thirty goals and shut down top competition. This is something Doan can't do. This is what the Sharks want. If anything this last season was his best season as a shark and he played wing

You and I will never agree on this. I will leave it at that.
