From an outsiders point of view I always felt Snider wasn't given a fair shot or consistent playing time. I wouldn't be surprised to see him thrive if he has confidence in his manager giving him consistent playing time.
I have a STRONG feeling that this is just to acquire a piece to move in another deal. Lincoln doesnt seem like someone that would fit into our model.
Im calling him as part of an upton deal ala the rasmus deal.
I have a strong feeling that he does nothing with this guy. It's not like he's like Wallace and they are flipping him for Gose. Probably thinks he got the steal of the century. He's believing his own hype and forgetting about the team in Toronto. Hope I'm wrong but he's stacking the minors and sacrificing the Jays.
Wow great.. He's pitched 60 innings. Time to shut him down. It's the typical AA trade. Go out to LF and hope you look like a genius. Why isn't he in the majors then? Do you even know who he is?
1. He's in the majors right now
2. I've heard that he's highly touted, lots of potential.... our outfield is too crowded, Snider for Lincoln is a fair deal.
3. Someone mentioned before that Lincoln could be dealt in another deal, which AA seems to like to do.
80% of you are freaking out even though you haven't seen him pitch, done your research or heard of him.
You know it's not even about Snider, it's about the same frigging trade template every single time. How about get someone even the most casual fan has heard of instead of getting these players that might help, if they turn it around with a change of scenery. It's nice a couple of times, but these are wearing on me. Just keeps solidifying his .500 team. No difference makers
I've had it with AA's obsession with "years of control" like we're a small market team. We're owned by Rogers ****ing communications. We should be able to pony up and pay our players big $$$ without having to lose them through FA. We shouldn't be trading our prospects for mediocre relievers just because they have "years of control."
Like I said in the GDT, this is like the Leafs trading Kadri for a low-ceiling shutdown defenseman, like a Marc Methot.
