The flyers trade meszaros for ryan and that makes their defense better? That just hurts you're argument.

And the salaries are a wash so you don't get the cap relief you currently need.

He also only had one poor season, his sophomore year which is very common. They call it a sophomore slump

I was always arguing depth.
Flyers have more depth on offense and defense than the Rangers.

Flyers defense is much more expensive, much older, slower, and has less potential than the Rangers. I don't know why it's so hard to understand that. Timonen is getting more salary than any of our defensemen, and I'd take 4 of them before Timonen.

On offense yes, defense your nuts. The only part of you arguement which hasn't been crazy is the fact you are smart enough not to debate goalie depth.

Disagree.

Rangers defense is more balanced and Rangers offense is more balanced.

Just stop it already. You're already losing your poll by 10 votes, and it's going to get a lot worse.

What's the point of even setting up that poll? You're probably not going to change your mind when you see it's a blowout.

You guys have a very small window to win with those contracts.

Are you ****ing nuts? We have a small window with a defense that ranks one of the youngest in the league?

Your second-best defenseman is about to retire because of his injury.

People taking into account Pronger is brain dead and Weber will be a Predator.
I assumed I would lose, not that bad though.

Two of your d-men are 37 years old, and we have a small window. Gotcha.

Then why does your poll include Pronger?

McDonagh and Del Zotto will both be getting 5m+ in a few years.

And? We have the money for both of them, and there's a 0% change MDZ gets $5MM.

In a few years? You have no clue how the business of the NHL works. And the best part of that statement is that you basically admit they are solid defensemen since they, according to you, are getting $5million at the minimum. And yet the older flyers defense is better? Are you nuts? Our contract situation is bad? Look at yours. It's laughable and it starts from the net out. You sound like a moron right now.

Disagree, you guys praise those defenders you got, yet they won't be paid? Don't understand.

We do praise our defenders. But clearly you understand their value. You don't just throw out a number like $5 million unless you're just plain ignorant. It's the cap era. The rangers will have arbitration rights. Their players aren't jumping ship any time soon. They will have a chance to sign them to extensions. You really think Sather and his staff have not looked ahead at all? It is a business they are not stupid.

The cap is not going to be 70,200,000. If you really believe that then you are just as ignorant as that flyers fan.

And what about Gaborik? Sather said today he expects him back in November. We don't have the room.
