Eklund is that you? These trades are ridiculously one sided in favor of Philly. To get Boyle and Stewart, add significantly to both of your offers.

The St. Louis one is biased toward the Flyers. The San Jose one is pretty bad for them.

The subtle racism of HFBoards...

Sharks value Dan Boyle higher than that, and Stewart isn't going anywhere until at least the deadling.

I would be interested in the Blues picking up Mezaros but at the price of Stewart? Meh.. I'm not a huge Stewart supporter, but if I am Doug Armstrong and Hitch is telling me he can work with Stewart and Stewart's attitude, and actions are showing that he wants to improve, then I at least give him a chance to see what comes out of that before trading him. Plus, while I really like Tarasenko, he's an unknown at the NHL level right now. He could take off right away or maybe it takes him some time to adjust. If it's the latter and we deal Stewie then a strength becomes a weakness(at least in the short term).

Flyers fans, is there a reasonable deal for Mezaros that can be made from some combination of Cole, D'Agostini, prospects, and/or picks? If not, hey I understand.

Cole, d'ags sounds nice. But i'm fairly unfamiliar with Cole. I have slight knowledge of him

Also, wouldn't move Voracek for Boyle. Could be biased on my part though. I just don't think it would be a smart move from an organizational standpoint.

We need wingers with power. Stewart is good opinion. But from Sanjose, i would try to trade Murray and Clowe. And if you think what those deal make for capspace... Boyle like 6.6 (2y left) and Stewart 3. But with Murray 2.5 Clowe 3.6 and Stewart 3 with 1 year remaining, after next season we have lot of space to do what we want in UFA market next summer. There is lot of good players coming.

CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $4,253,056

There is still space to bring defender.

But the idea comes after this season, there are Timonen,Lilja,Shelley,Hartnell,Clowe,Murray,Stewar t,Fedotenko,Leighton UFA´s. Hartsy is only what we need, if and IF Stewart,Clowe and Murray are good one with heart to play Flyers hockey we can extend them, Simmonds are RFA and we want to keep him.. But there is so much capspace after season if we do those trades. Capspace to sign every one we want.

For Stewart Clowe and Murray i was sending away picks, prospects (not couts or schenns) Mezza and Read.

I don't think it would either.. Voracek is getting better.. Not saying Boyle is getting worse. But his age is getting up there

Cole has a top four skill set. Good mobility, good shot, decent offensive instincts, physical, etc. He plays a pretty similar game to Brad Stuart if you want a player comparison. His skill set is in line with what the Blues are looking for, but his experience level is not, If that makes sense. Cole could be an ideal partner for Pietrangelo a year or two from now. We are looking to improve that spot now.

I think a deal for Stewart with Meszaros as the centerpiece can and should be worked out. It's good framework, but I think the Flyers need to add a little more from their side. Maybe make it a 2 for 2 deal: Meszaros and another forward (Wellwood or Read?) for Stewart and another defenseman (Cole?)

Stewart isn't going to be traded, we are going to see if he rebounds or not.

That would be pretty cool if Stewart got to play with Simmonds though, they both grew up in Scarborough, Ontario and i've heard that they are good friends. But you're right I can't see the flyers getting Chris Stewart the asking price would be too much.

That's not really going to work. I don't see us trading Cole. If we get a guy to play with Pietrangelo Cole will be the seventh defenseman. And no offense to Mezaros, but I'd rather hold on to Stewart to see what he can do. If he's still struggling at the trade deadline I could see him being moved. But this deal doesn't really give us enough incentive to move him.

For real? It's not like he called them the Oreo line or something

It was an overstatement by the OP, but they would be a tough line to play against. They're all physically strong and, while not top tier, they're offensively skilled.
