oh, here's an interview he did with a canadian radio station. he actually sounds awake here. but he's talking to a canadian radio station.

http://iphone.tsn.ca/tsnpodcasts/CC%...0July%2024.mp3

PUTZ of an agent. who's managing your $$, Weber?

he calls the ntc a "gray area" in the cba, and he wants it in shea's contract....

Poile is smarter than that, Maybe if weber had signed instantly and showed complete loyalty he would get a NTC but when you hold out and make our franchise go through this, you better believe we are going to use our upper hand just like he did. sorry weber but if you want out it will be at our digression now, i will be shocked if poile gives him a NTC/NMC

Hey guys, so what's happening to the rest of your defense? You only have 5 defensemen signed.

10.3(b) doesn't make it a gray area. The team must match the "principal terms" and "such additional terms as may be agreed upon between the Restricted Free Agent and the Prior Club. "

"May be agreed upon" is not a mandatory provision.

I assume you're looking at...

Shea Weber
Roman Josi
Kevin Klein
Hal Gill
Ryan Ellis

But overlooking these guys in the mix...

Jonathan Blum
Mattias Ekholm
Victor Bartley
Joonas Jarvinen

sure they would like to sign at least one more veteran, but if they HAD to go with the current group, Blum and Ekholm are probably 6/7 on the list.

We'll probably get a #4 guy. Really just depends on how confident management feels about our young guys. We could easily fill out our roster with some of our NHL ready prospects, it's just a matter of if it would be smart.

Weber-Josi
Klein-XXX
Gill-Ellis
Ekholm/Blum/a couple others

I agree with this. Blum/Klein could reform their chemistry from 2 seasons ago but that's a risk. Probably just settle for a cheap vet now and we are set.

Totally forgot about Blum. Thanks. A vet probably won't hurt though. Weber and Gill are the only mature defenseman left.

The Predators signed another veteran defenseman who will likely have a leadership position with the Admirals this season, Mike Moore. He’s a 27-year-old left handed shot. He spent most of the last four seasons with the Worcester Sharks.

I expect Jarvinen and Bartley to be in Milwaukee. Victor isn't ready for the NHL yet.

Bush league interview Epp gave with his lack of interest, dismissive tone... like a Torts post-game interview.

Bush league like the website that still lists Tootoo as a Pred and doesn't even show an update for Weber being an All-star and Norris trophy nominee this past season.
