Briere for Kadri, Blacker, Bozak.

Lupul-Briere-Kessel
JVR-Grabo-Frattin
Kulemin-McClement-MacArthur
Brown-Steckle-Orr

Cuts tons of salary for PHI who is in play for Doan and Weber.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh...I'm gonna go ahead and say there's an outside chance Philly won't like that.

Doubt Flyers do it but Briere would be a perfect target for Leafs. He could adequately fill the top line centre need for the Leafs

After the offer sheet to Weber its safe to say Flyers are looking to take a shot now. Briere will be a key component.

Perhaps Toronto needs to add more.

I Just think if the choice is voracek or Briere, they can get a better package for briere, and voracek is younger.

Not sure the Flyers would say no....but it's up to Briere and I'm sure he would. NTC, single parent with kids, good set-up in the Philly area.

Briere won't waive his NMC because of his children.

Bozak is a 3rd liner, everyone knows this.

And its a futures package to clear salary. Philly can afford to put kadri in the AHL for another year to let him mature up, and then use him to replace someone like hartnell or someone for more cap flexibility.

Our first line scored 80 goals last year .. Centred by a 3rd liner.

I am a huge fan of bozaks, but two things.

1) he is an amazing 3rd liner who can step up to 2nd line center on a good playoff team. To think he is a #1 is to be blind.

2) Briere is MUCH better and has clutch performance. He would do great on toronto even if he isnt that big.

Bozak is more proven and more developed you could argue then Read at this point, so if you move out Briere, your center depth could realistically look like this:

Giroux
Couturier
Bozak

Briere is a playoff performer and he wants to win a Cup. He wouldn't be able to do that on Toronto anytime soon

I'd actually be willing to move Briere if the right deal came along, but Briere has a NMC and probably won't waive it to go to Toronto.

As for this package, I'd take Kadri, but Bozak would have no place on the Flyers. He wouldn't be able to get past Giroux, Schenn, or Couturier. And his $1.5 million cap hit would be more than I'd want for a 4th line center, especially with Holmstrom, Cousins, and Laughton already in the system.

You could always move Schenn to LW and put Bozak on the 3rd line.

Depending on if Weber signs, I'm in a win-now mode if I'm Philly, and I wouldn't take this deal. They're not really in a salary-cap bind right now, and Blacker and Kadri are futures players for them.

Briere would obviously be an improvement for the Leafs, but at the same time, he doesn't quite fill the size requirements for that top line. Not sure how well Briere and Kessel would play together (Briere likes to carry the puck, if I recall correctly), and that first line needs a more physical centre to complement them.

Philly says no, Leafs say yes.
