When you don't pick, dont you keep your spot? Or is it only if you didn't have the chance to pick (Like Toronto w/Eddie Johnson) that you keep your spot?

That seems to be the case. I misunderstood the ranking system.

Wow.. Perkins>Ricketts in every single category it seems. And these aren't just "Stats". Remember that Portland has a GODAWFUL defense. I mean HORRENDOUS as per their own fans & Perkins still overdoes Ricketts in almost every category. These stats are actually quite relevant.

The catch success rate % one made me laugh a little bit, aint gona lie lol

I can’t seem to understand why Ricketts is gone. He was slowly starting to be the face of the team. Is it because of Frings goal ? But I do agree that one moment he makes the save of the year then the next minute he allows a dumb goal you’re just like (Henry goal weeks ago) or he gets scared 1st game vs Philly. I also have to add whenever a team was going for a shot, I had heart attacks because putting him is so unsafe. Seems like he cant grip. Hopefully Perkins is more calm and smarter, but respect DR.

Slowly starting to be the face of the team? Not so sure about that. I think our defense is actually playing the way it should be, and by adding Perkins, our goalkeeping WILL BE ABLE to make the clutch saves to bail out the Back 4, instead of hoping that the back 4 bail out the goalie [Which has seemed to be the case, but the problem was our defense was unable to save Ricketts' ass this season].

These Stats speak for themselves quite honnestly. http://www.mlssoccer.com/blog/post/2...ot-better-deal

Perkins>Ricketts. Perkins younger than Ricketts. Portland's defense was absolutely ATROCIOUS (In the words of some of their own fans). I could really see Perkins doing great here in MTL. He was a fan favorite in Portland, and one of thier only bright players this year. He just DID NOT FIT with their two young promising GK's

MORE NEWS! (As if we didn't get enough yet. + We're probably going to get the Rivas suspension verdict later on today)

Giovanni Sardo ‏@GioSardo
According to @antoniocorsa Marco Di Vaio will be acquitted of his charges. THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!! HUGE NEWS FOR #IMFC FANS!!!

Yes the stats prove the new guy is better then the old guy but I will add this. If you think the Impact did not ask what Nesta and Ferrari what they think of Ricketts think again. Nesta has a ton of top level games under his belt. He has seen a lot of goalies.

I'm hoping we're going back to the traditional 4-4-2 on sunday, cause Wenger NEEDS to play.

Di Vaio-Wenger
Mapp-Bernier-Warner-Felipe
Iapichino-Ferrari-Nesta-Camara
Perkins

Or something like that.

I agree with the fact that Wenger needs to play, but no way Felipe plays RM...He needs to be CAM to be effective.

Maybe play a diamond 4-4-2 with Bernier as cdm and Felipe CAM. Give him some freedom behing Wenger and MDV.

With a defence like ours we can afford playing with one CDM.

But I dont think Marsch will do it. Our next game is away and the one after is against SJ.

San Jose will be a tough test, so we really need the road win this weekend.

I would put Brovsky instead of Iapichino and keep our usual 4-2-3-1 formation with Wenger on the bench. However, instead of subbing Wenger at the 80th minute, I'd sub him in around the 65th minute if Di Vaio doesn't create any chances.

I feel bad for iapichino... Brought over with persistence and then considered as no3 left back? Thats sucks for him, daddy must be furious.

Marsch confirmed Perkins would be the Impact's starter and he will wear #1.

no surprise there...Perkins makes the Impact a better team

IMO Perkins>>>Ricketts

this year might be a bit to late to make the playoffs but im so excited for the possibilities of next year

we have a management team and an owner that are serious about winning and we're not missing much to be able to contend with the best

BTW, i still cannot believe Nesta is playing for the Montreal Impact. what a difference he makes to the backline

We still have 9 games left, it's not too late IMO. We need to win at least 6-7 of those and hope teams behind us (who have played less games) and in front of us falter.

And with the way we've been playing recently, it's doable. Just having Ferrari,Rivas,Nesta and Camara on D with Perkins in net makes it realistic IMO!

Got to start doing the intro asap to avoid losing time so that I can getting release the video 1-2 days after the final game [Or even more if we make the PO's]

Ill come back in a couple of weeks with the same list if you guys can't think of anything now [Or if this post gets no replies ]
