I actually disliked Boulton when he played for us a lot more than Peters. Peters was a -5 in 29 games for us as opposed to Boulton's -12 in 51 games. Peters was also on the ice for a goal for, and he might have been on for 2, but definitely 1. Boulton was not on the ice for a goal scored all season except for a pre season game against the Rangers where I think he assisted with Elias on a goal from Sykora.

Haha I knew Randy's first name was Hugh.

I liked Colin White, but one of his later seasons he was really bad. Can't remember which one. Not right after the eye injury but maybe 08/09.

Rod Pelley is crap. I always said he'd top out exactly where he started. A 4th line player at best that would struggle to remain in the NHL likely. Even though many people told me I was wrong. I LOL'd when Lou made a comment implying he was supposed to replace Madden, and how he needed a chance. Glad we got rid of this POS.

Haha that's exactly it! He spent so much time as a healthy scratch including most of the 2 months of last year before he was traded. I was never impressed with him. Not even back in 07 when he scored 2 goals in like a week playing on the 4th line. I'm glad Lou got rid of that deadwood.

Same with Fraser. Fraser went in and out of our lineup for 5 years between us, and the AHL. The last few he spent with us, and Lemaire had him in the lineup nightly after Paul Martin was injured. Not to mention he got 4th line forward minutes ever game, rather than bottom pairing D man. I think he did score 2 goals against that joke MAF in games against Pittsburgh!

When the Devils won the cup in 2003 I was 16. Didn't drive or have a job well enough to go to a ton of games. All I saw was what was ever on TV. I really started going to games myself in the 05-06 season. All I can remember is being extremely frustrated when Colin White was on the ice. After the lockout, the game was built for speed and offensive contributions. Colin White was the FACE of Lou's stubbornness in building a team to cope with the new rules and the new NHL. If there was never a lockout I probably would have liked him more... but he was constantly getting beat by forwards, lost 75% of his physical edge, and contributed ZERO on the scoresheet.

I just looked up his stats and they are better than I remember... I really don't know why I just always did not like him. Especially after Salvador came I was wishing Lou would trade him.

Holy Hell in 1993 Mogilny had 127 points in Buffalo.

I really only started following the Devils like 06-07, dad was always a fan but I never really got into it. When football grew old with me as I was a huge fan when I was like in my early teens, I turned to hockey.

Right now, I would say:

1. Elias
2. Kovalchuk
3. Josefson
4. Zubrus
5. Henrique/Zajac
6. Hedberg
7. Pikkarainen

I have a sore spot for Josefson, and I don't know why.

I was 12 when the devils won the cup, the year after i became a fan. So let me tell you, even though I was 12 living in vancouver, Colin White was one of my favourite players

I really loved Vishnevski too. His on ice vision was Volchenkov bad but he still could deliver a huge hit and was just one of those plentiful 3rd pairing D-men but I really appreciated him.

Oliwa was great too. Love the random euro guys.

And Stevens's first name is actually Ronald. I can see why these guys prefer to go by their middle names.

Seems like a common trend on the Devils, we also had David Johnny Oduya and John Colin White.

It was obviously sarcasm.

You can't deny that his first NHL goal was a thing of beauty though.

We were just talking about this not long ago. Carey Price dropped it out of his glove and knocked it in with the back of his skate I think!

Pikkaguy was our worst player that year aside from Peters. Every time I see Pesonen I can't help but think of him.
