Based off of what? He has yet to even score 30 goals or 60 points and just finished his first year, it's just a ridiculous assumptive statement. Detroit wouldn't even listen to this offer because of the player involved and Colorado would never offer this because they need wingers more then centers at the moment.

Like? I think Landeskog would be a great return... Who else would you theoretically be able to get?

A more established player? If Detroit were really bent on trading Datsyuk(which I doubt they are) they would go after a semi-young stud defender. Teams would be lining up for the services of Pavel and they could do better than Landeskog that fits a need.

from this post and the teams that would be interested in paying....... Dion Phaneuf and picks..... enjoy if u want we will keep the rookie of the year thanks (not to mention pavel doesn't exactly fill a need)

edit: and yes I do know pavel is a top five player in the league, but what your asking for wont happen because while the dman ur talking about will still have value in three years very probable pavel will not

No doubt everyone would want him, but whose a more established player they would get? Would they get an OEL/Larsson for Datsyuk?

Value alone, how much better could they do than Landy? I don't think teams would be lining up offering a Kopitar or a Tavares for him.

So, Elias, MSL, Selanne and Lidstrom(before he retired) didn't have value?

They won't get the Kopitar's and Tavares' of the world but they could get a Seguin or a OEL type.

I wouldn't say those two have much more value than Landy. I think Boston and Phoenix would likely be as hesitant as we are.

There's no deal to be made here unless the Avs are getting Enstrom here.

If Detroit can swing Enstrom into the deal with Budaj and Datsyuk, the Avs will add in something to sweeten the pot... say, Cody McLeod?

Both Seguin and OEL are better than Landy. Boston is in a good position to win many cups and they have a good stable of young player, they wouldn't want to give up Seguin but if offered they would take it IMO. The Yotes are in a different position and possibly wouldn't accept the trade but wings would be able to get this type of player, whether it be OEL or a different defender. FWIW the avs shouldn't accept the trade and neither should the wings that's all I was trying to say.
