The man who helped troubled hockey player Dany Heatley rebuild his career after a devastating car crash is at the centre of an $11-million lawsuit filed in an Alberta court by the NHL star.

Pretty sure Stacey is the one who caused the whole mess in the first place. No proof, but strong suspicions that he was the one who leaked the trade demand.
I feel sick thinking about a lockout. What do you guys think the chances of one happening is?
75% chance we see a lockout and that number can grow to 80 and up by next week. I think we see a one month lockout with the season starting sometime in November. Maybe even December. Will be very similar to the NBA lockout from last year.
Brother told me his work colleague talked to hawks owner rocky Wirtz the other day. No hokey until after Christmas, meeting soon and expect an announcement after. I'm no source but take it for what it's worth

If what you say comes to fruition... That sure sounds predetermined to me.
Yeah, I'm thinking there'll be a lockout again as well. Shameful that the 2 sides can't get their act together. Don't think we'll lose another season again but I don't think we'll see the season start on time.

Kudos to the Ottawa Senators for the great season despite injuries to their 3 best players.

Unfortunately, I think that's about the best case scenario we can hope for at this point in time.
I still don't get the sense of urgency from either side.
Part of me wants them to lower the cap to $58 000 000 or whatever with no rollbacks, just so it makes it tougher for the Oilers to be contenders for the long term.

And so teams like us, in a very good cap situation, could acquire expensive players for an underpayment of picks/prospects, because cap teams need help getting below it.
