You do realize the kind of money that Ovechkin generates for the Capitals, don't you?

Why would the Caps do this? Ovie is a gamechanger, and one of the 5 best players on the planet.

Yeah and besides Ovie head is too big for Boston, his heart can't make up for the difference in the two.

Great now the OP is going to think you are lying. You put Sedin twice.

Dude NYR are all about getting the big star. That could be legit. Boston is about doing it as a team. It would be a massive philosophy shift that clearly Boston management wants no part of currently.

No Datsyuk? No Lundquvist? No Rinne? No Weber?

I mean you did say "player." not forwards.

Also I would take Datsyuk over 1 Sedin.

Boston has the players to land a elite player there has to come a time when they need to pull the trigger. They won the cup and did nothing and had a great opportunity to upgrade there team even more. I'm a huge Bruins fan and played all levels of hockey. I just wish they took a chance on something big.

Pull the trigger on what, exactly? Washington wouldn't offer Ovechkin.

If the best player that ever played this game got traded anything is possible at the right price. In my opinion if Washington doesn't make a cup run in the next few years I think Ovi will want out.

So you're gonna amend the CBA and send Leonsis a hundred million dollars?

Did you post that in the NY proposal or is it because the team is Boston not NY you don't think it's possible.

I'll come clean with but you must do the same.

I don't there is much thought behind your proposals.

Now tell me that you are in a sim league with NHL roster teams and you are the Bruins.

That is what it appears like to me, sorry.

There's a NY proposal for Ovechkin too? Have they been spiking the water on the east coast recently?

Washington just had a very good draft to fill the ranks. They have many great pieces already in place. They went further then we did last year. There is no reason for Ovi to want out as the caps will be a very competitive team for a very long time. That is just a horribly bad argument. As for your other post. Of course we have the pieces in place to acquire Ovi if we wanted to but I can guarantee it's not something Bruins fans would like to give up. BTW gretzky was bought by the Kings. You can't do that anymore.

Bobby Orr was not traded - he signed with Chicago.

Why do these threads exist. Caps would only do it for a massive overpayment to justify the revenue they would lose. I'm not even that big of an Ovechkin fan, but it would have to be Seguin+ to even make sense for the Caps.
