Your Battle Between The Pipes

Tell me how you guys expect this to shake down next year.

Holtby was dynamite in the playoffs last year. Is that enough for him to be given the starting job right off the bat?

I still like Neuvirth, but does he still have a legit shot at being the starter for you guys at any point throughout next season?

As for numbers, what kind of totals do you think these guys can post? Vokoun's numbers weren't fantastic last year, but I think I could see Holtby posting those kind of numbers if given 50+ starts (25 wins, 2.50GAA, 9.17sv%).

So, how do you expect your goaltending to be next year and into the future? Is Holts the future?

60/40 Holtby assuming injury free...which could just as easily swing it the other way.

Whoever plays better in camp/pre-season gets the nod on opening day. Ride the hot hand afterwards. Simple as that.

Whoever wins the job in camp, just like every year.

Those saying Holtby has the job locked up are clueless.

This. Althought right now, Holtby probably has the slight edge.

Holtby deserves the early edge going into camp, based on his playoff performance and Neuvy's less than stellar year last year, but I fully expect Neuvy to compete for the starting spot and give Holtby a run for his money.

Whoever comes out of training camp as the #1 will be better after, hopefully, a stiff competition between the two.

Holtby clearly has the edge for whatever that's worth heading into camp, but he has to impress a new coach. Anyone saying otherwise is clueless....

Well Neuvirth has won 2 Calder Cups, so he's clearly in consideration.
