Gaborik for fun

As a NYR fan I'm curious what trade value he has around the league after hearing all these bobby Ryan and Rick Nash proposals being thrown around. I am NOT saying I would want to trade gaborik but a lot of people believe Ryan and nash can return a nice package (both 30 goal guys good for 60-70 points ) gaborik when healthy will give u a point per game (but not much more than that). Anybody have a good proposal?

I'd much rather have Ryan or Nash over Gaborik.

Yeah but that's not what I'm asking lol I wanna know the package gaborik is worth. I'd take bobby Ryan over gaborik just because he's younger and brings some fire along with the goal scorin but never nash

5 goals (including the triple OT winner vs Washington) and 6 assists for 11 points in 20 games while playing with a torn rotator cuff.

I would never do it now, because I personally believe in Matt and his trading value is at the lowest, so no point in trading him.

Everyone else would. Fact: Injuries are an important part of the game and player evaluations. Gaborik is injured often and it's been going on for so long -- it's significantly decreased his value. If you watched the playoffs, and I'm sure you did, Gaborik was not a top player like he's paid to be. He was ineffective and for a 7 million dollar player that's inexcusable. Sure. Yes. We all know he was playing with another injury -- but that just underlines the point. The guy is always injured.

The fact that Ryan and Nash are both younger, healthier, and play a more physical game, plus score, makes them worth much more.

Gaborik has 105 goals in his 3 years as a Ranger. More goals than Nash or Ryan have scored in the last 3 seasons. 2 40 goal seasons in those 3 seasons. Nash or Ryan have zero 40 goal seasons in the last 3 years. Not bad for a guy who is always injured. Gaborik didn't miss a game in the regular season or in the playoffs in 11-12. Gaborik has missed 26 games in his 3 years as a Ranger. He suffered the shoulder injury which needed surgery in the Ottawa series.

Wouldn't mind him on Ottawa, the package probably would end up being:

A 2013 1st round pick, Mika Zibanejad, Peter Regin to New York for Marian gaborik.

People on here seem to value Gaborik a lot more than I do with his career high 86 points...

He is a dynamic player but he does have quite an injury history (even though it has improved since he went to NY)

Gaborik is interesting. He's contract isn't bad. Only 2 more years at $7.5m per, which is better than many of those lifer contracts out there. Doubt Rangers let him go for anything less than very good because money isn't an issue for them and they have plenty of cap space

Would have given you Krejci, a 1st or a prospect but not with the injury and surgery now. Sorry

Fact scoring goals are important in this league and Gaborik has gone 40+ twice in the past three years, when Nash and Ryan do that then talk.
