Bittersweet day. I respect each and every thing Nash did or tried to do while wearing a Blue Jacket but I wish him nothing but the best wearing a Blue Shirt. I think it's the best move for him.
Howson did not get fleeced. Dubs is great. Arti will be. Good solid pieces for a change. I thought we were playing rebuild here, not dancing with the stars? Premiere talent isn't coming to the hell that is now Columbus. We have to make our own future, not borrow someone else's. It isn't going to be easy but I think you'll see it isn't that tough either. We have a good team. Now that the drama is over, we can move on to hockey.
I'll be there.
Howdy stranger. At least you like the Rangers, so that works out.
I'm still processing this trade. The part I hate is that he's going to the Rangers. Oh well.
Ultimately we might be a better team after this deal. We'll have to see how it plays out.
I see a lot of sad reactions? Don't you guys want a fresh start with some new players that are pretty good? It may seem bad, but you guys weren't going anywhere with Nash. Maybe this isn't so bad as it is. I think its actually good to have new faces/ talent in your roster. Could jump start.
I think people will realize this in time. In the rush to decide today whether it's a good or bad deal, people don't see the forest for the trees.
IMO, though the CBJ lost their best player in franchise history, they very likely emerge from this as a stronger, better team. I'd like to see this as a springboard to another deal to resolve some of the glut created by the additions, but even on it's own, I'm not particuarly upset at any aspect of this deal. Would've rather had a F prospect iike Hagelin or Kreider than Erixon, but it is what it is. Ideally, we'll flip Erixon into something else..
