Hopefully man. I'm still skeptical about him

I hope Dubinsky rebounds for you guys. He was an untouchable for the Rangers before his season last yr. If he rebounds and returns to form, CBJ wins the deal.

Assuming Erixon is cool with the deal. If he's genuinely cool with continuing his career here, then that improves my outlook on this trade.
He's talented and give the CBJ depth and flexibility.

But the fact that he grew up the son of Ranger and that he maneuvered his way to get away from Calgary and into the NY system, however, just can't make me excited about his acquisition.

All I know is I'll be staying off the mains for a while. My blood pressure wouldn't be able to handle all that crap.

Howson did not get fleeced. Dubs is great. Arti will be. Good solid pieces for a change. I thought we were playing rebuild here, not dancing with the stars? Premiere talent isn't coming to the hell that is now Columbus. We have to make our own future, not borrow someone else's. It isn't going to be easy but I think you'll see it isn't that tough either. We have a good team. Now that the drama is over, we can move on to hockey.

I'll be there.
Howdy stranger. At least you like the Rangers, so that works out.

I'm still processing this trade. The part I hate is that he's going to the Rangers. Oh well.

Ultimately we might be a better team after this deal. We'll have to see how it plays out.

I think people will realize this in time. In the rush to decide today whether it's a good or bad deal, people don't see the forest for the trees.

IMO, though the CBJ lost their best player in franchise history, they very likely emerge from this as a stronger, better team. I'd like to see this as a springboard to another deal to resolve some of the glut created by the additions, but even on it's own, I'm not particuarly upset at any aspect of this deal. Would've rather had a F prospect iike Hagelin or Kreider than Erixon, but it is what it is. Ideally, we'll flip Erixon into something else..

The lines right now are almost impossible to do, especially the forward lines.

Defense will look something like

Johnson-Wiz
Toots-Nik

Hell, if Moore gets traded, the 3rd D pairing could be any number of guys. I think I'd be shocked if Gold Coin is starting, though.

Erixon is a nice guy. I met him at training camp last year and he was a shy, humble character. The Calgary media vilified him.

Gordie Clark though he would be a top 4 d-man this yr, but he was never going to beat out Staal/Del Zotto/McDonagh.

And that dream team has now shown it doesn't want him as much as he wants it. Such things usually trigger life-altering perspective shifts.

Or so we can hope

Thanks for the memories, Rick Nash.

Now let's get an F-in Goalie.

Why the hell did we take Ryan Murray now? Erixon and Murray are the exact same.

Oh well, continue the misery.

This should be the CBJ theme for the upcoming season

What amazes me is that this trade could have been done five months ago. Seems Howson just gave up and accepted what he himself thought was unacceptable in March. Horiffic but essence of Howson.

Because Scott Howson is a genius.

It's not wonder he still has a job, he apparently knows as much about the NHL as the owner does.
