No way CBJ gives up Tyutin just for Paajarvi.

Dont think there is any legs to this. If he hated Calgary so bad to demand a trade I doubt he likes it 2 hours up north

This. Despite everyone (myself included, admittedly) advertising JMFJ-Wisniewski as our top pairing, the actual tough minutes assignments normally associated with that job description are likely going to Tyutin and Nikitin. Largely because that's the job they had last year... and they out and out excelled at it. (See: http://nhlnumbers.com/2012/5/30/top-defensive-pairings)

And before your cognitive dissonance obliges you to reply with some comment about the state of our blueline last year... setting aside the midseason rebuild of same, part of why it was so g-dawful was because constant injuries shattered our depth (such as it was) to the point that the second and third pairings were populated exclusively by rushed AHL prospects and Brett Lebda* (or worse) types.

*: Ready for real craziness? Brett Lebda actually performed reasonably well while he was here. Not enough that I'd give him a bottom pairing job, but he could sit on the bench and hop out where needed and I wouldn't be too dismayed. Aaron Johnson, OTOH... poor Boston. Poor, poor Boston.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

Besides, I like Paajarvi's attitude (Said he wants to play in the NHL and won't go back to Sweden until after his career is over, even if it means another session in the AHL), I hope he has a big rebound season this year for Edmonton.
I'll go with this reply word for word.
