Thank you Howson for the best hour and a half spent watching a robbery since Oceans 11 came out.

Trying to create a bidding war with one of the other teams on the list.

Thanks to Sather for starting the arms race. As I see it now....

Rangers
----------
Flyers
----------
Kings
----------
----------
Everyone else.

All the other GM's better start picking up their **** if they want to contend. I'm talking to you Mike Gillis.

They can sign Doan to 3 yr front loaded deal worth 18m.

Year 1: 9m
Year 2: 6m
Year 3: 3m

If Doan busts or wins the cup, trade him back to Phoenix with his affordable real life salary in yr 2/3, when contracts are due.

Pens with a healthy Crosby are right up there with the Rangers.

How is it possible Howson didn't get ANY of MCD, MDZ, Kreider, Miller, Stepan? Seriously??

I'm not joking when I say that I could do a better job at GM than Howson.

Bob Mackenzie speculates that Columbus had to trade a minor leaguer due to 50 contract limit.

So essentially you're saying it's very possible that they're getting a guy who's got some kind of Chemistry with two of their awesome players?

TSN could announce that the 3rd was a first and I wouldn't be any more surprised.

Sather has just made up for signing Gomez and Redden.

If Nashville doesn't match the offer-sheet Detroit and St. Louis will be playing at home in the first round of the playoffs. Easily.

Whatever Detroit offered HAD to be more than this. Even if Filppula was the centerpiece.

Maybe but then why would he leave in first place? What if Coyotes relocate? Where to now? I'd assume he'd ask for a NTC if that's the case and it would get complicated.

Except you'd hope those picks in your scenario would turn out to be better than fringe 2nd liners (And 3rd liners on a good team), and a possible top 4 defenseman.

I have information that the trade is conditional on Sather hiring Howson as part of his staff once he becomes unemployed.

It's because HF grossly overvalued Rick Nash. He is not even remotely close to being worth those mentioned assets besides maybe Miller.
