Heatley is only 2 seasons removed from a 39 goal year. And if he really is feeling better than he has in years, coupled with the newly added talent, I see no reason that he couldn't hit 39 goals again.
Even if he just tallies the same 53 pts as last year, that's still nothing to scoff at. 7.5 million is a bit much for his last 2 seasons, but he's worth every penny for any of the previous 5.

If Havlat stays healthy and Heatley doesn't improve much, if at all, no we didn't. It was a trade that helped both teams. We got a shooter and a much better lockerroom personality for a player that didn't want to be here. San Jose shed some salary and got a faster player who has performed better in the playoffs.

I don't think havlat helped the sharks much this year. Also by performed better in the playoffs you mean havlats 52 points in 72 playoff games, or heatleys 57 points in 66 playoff games.
If Seto is such a grump about being in Minnesota, as has been suggested, maybe he is on the block. Tradeable asset, Pitt has a great defense prospect stable, who knows.
