Heatley is only 2 seasons removed from a 39 goal year. And if he really is feeling better than he has in years, coupled with the newly added talent, I see no reason that he couldn't hit 39 goals again.

Even if he just tallies the same 53 pts as last year, that's still nothing to scoff at. 7.5 million is a bit much for his last 2 seasons, but he's worth every penny for any of the previous 5.

We fleeced San Jose on the Heatley/Havlat trade, and Yeo and CF know it.

If Havlat stays healthy and Heatley doesn't improve much, if at all, no we didn't. It was a trade that helped both teams. We got a shooter and a much better lockerroom personality for a player that didn't want to be here. San Jose shed some salary and got a faster player who has performed better in the playoffs.

Up to this point, Wild win.

I don't think havlat helped the sharks much this year. Also by performed better in the playoffs you mean havlats 52 points in 72 playoff games, or heatleys 57 points in 66 playoff games.

Even IF Havlat stays healthy i would rather have Heatley what so ever..

Those 50 point he racks up next year could be goals only

But seriously, 40 is in reach.

Didn't Heatley play a portion of the season injured?

Yes, he did.

It definitely looked like he wasn't 100%. Glad he's now.

If Seto is such a grump about being in Minnesota, as has been suggested, maybe he is on the block. Tradeable asset, Pitt has a great defense prospect stable, who knows.

I wonder how much of the Mitchell signing was to make the lad happy to be here....

My "Custom User Title" will have 40 in the start of next season as a countdown for heaters goals.

Hope it ends with 0 or minus - something!

I may steal your idea and do a countdown of 50 points for FBJ.

It's seems like a fun way to hold us accountable for our predictions.

Do you guys think he will be on Parise's line?

I might draft him in fantasy.

And this has been denied verbatim several times over... That account is not "fairly accurate".

Think about it logically...

Heatley played an integral role in convincing Suter/Parise to sign.
GMCF brought in Setoguchi's BFF (Mitchell).

Would it make any logical sense to trade either of them?

No.

This is why every single trade proposal in the Trade forums that involves Heater or Seto should be just... No.
