LTIR limit for 35+ contracts?

Personally i've never heard of it but I thought i'd make sure, is there a limit to the length of time a 35+ contract player can spend on LTIR? A fellow on another forum suggested it's 18 months, but nobody has mentioned anything like that?

Pretty obvious who the discussion's discussing...!
