and btw is the claim that erixon is requesting a trade back to NYR true or just sarcasm?
Haha, I would love it. Erixon refuses to show and states that he will only play for us. The TSN guys would litterary face a huge heart-attack risk.

On paper this is a great deal for the Rangers, but, it hurts to see Dubi get moved.
I agree.

I'm really going to miss Dubinsky.

I believe Miller will step up, however.

I love Dubinsky and Anisimov. Hate to see them go, especially Dubi but ahh well. Welcome Rick Nash!

Dubinsky and AA will probably have their best seasons thus far in their careers next year due to the ice time, specifically on the pp I presume, that they would never be able to acquire here in ny

I wish them the best, and hopefully this trade works out well for all the players involved!

Dubi adds great leadership, grit, lower cap hit/age, and when he's on he is a pretty effective player. CBJ fans will love him. AA has the skill set and the size. He doesn't play so gritty but has nice playmaking ability, even younger. And Erixon has a boatload of talent, will push for a spot out of camp, good size and ability. 1st round pick in supposedly a good draft.

It was a fair deal. Past the blue chip/untouchables from team to team, the rangers had the players that other didnt. SJ might have been willing to deal Pavelski but theres no guarantee he re-signs in cbj. BOS didnt have a dubi/anisimov package to trade. DET was pretty obvious a no go. PHI made other moves.
I agree, i think it was good deal both ways. Sure we get a star scorer, but we take a little hit on depth. They get a gritty forward in Dubinsky, and a project with AA, plus Erixon and a first! That's a good freakin deal imo!

CBJ made the deal with us because they KNEW we were giving them the best value.

Agreed, and I believe that, after seeing Miller in the development camp, Clark and Gorton said Miller was hands-off in any deal for Nash.

Way better than I expected. Sad to see Dubinsky go, he will rebound for sure. What do we know about the damn thrown in with Nash?

Tim Erixon may, in fact, still own a lunchbox. So you're still good man.

I believe Gorton and Clark believed Miller would be ready at this point, when they drafted him.

He's a player they've always had on an accelerated development path. And Miller himself.

That's why they wanted him signed ASAP as did he, when they drafted him.

He's going to start in Hartford. They moved Wellman out, i believe,to specifically make room for Miller.

The lockout will allow Miller a couple/few months of good professional play. And when the lockout breaks and NHL teams hit the ice, i believe there's a strong possibility he will be in New York.

Over the course of the next few years, the insertion of cheap young players is going to be very important for this club.

Lundqvist, Stepan, McDonagh, Staal, Girardi, Callahan, Kreider, Hagelin, Gaborik...they all need New contracts in the next three years.

Another player i feel is a strong candidate for earning a spot here soon, is Yogan.

Saw a tweet that Anisimov was on his honeymoon in Fiji when the trade went down? Talk about bad timing for him.

I think it was probably Dubinsky, since he literally just got married.
