Iginla is the worst investment any team could make given the cost, his age, and the fact that he is a free agent and would likely bolt back to Calgary.

The latter. I've never heard anyone say the former. His contract isn't awful. And by the way - not nothing, just less than he was worth before.
Funny enough the Rangers need for wingers is gone. One player did that. Now, if at the deadline the team can get a 3rd line center, it'd be that much better. Maybe another defender. Wing is pretty strong right now.
