So they are adding 96 more seats (4 seats x 24 lodges), how is that going to work. I'm assuming these lodges would be kind of like suites, in their seperate room?

that's what I am thinking and I am very interested. I wonder if this is invite only or can I call to make a reservation / virtual tour?

Easily guessing priority to STH, starting $ top to bottom $

Club STH's on one of the ends will have to be relocated.

The Xcel is one of the only NHL arenas left with the crappiest, old, non-HD scoreboard, yet they want to focus on renovating a section to create fancier seating?

Is this the same thing as the supposed new Bud Light Terrace on the Club Level or something different?

If it's the Terrace seating than that means there will be less seats than before.

Wherever there is open season seats in the club price range I presume. Those forced to move can't be happy.

Presumably, they also get first dibs on Loge seating, but yeah, I would be pretty furious if I were a club STH.

So the "official" capacity of the Xcel will now be below 18,000 correct?

Not at all... the reason the official capacity is 18,062 is because that's what the building opened with. They added 500+ seats in the season AFTER, including the drink rails.

The official capacity will remain 18,062.

Not to backseat mod or be a total pedant, but I had to look this up:

"Loge" actually was correct instead of "Lodge" here.

Quote:
loge |lōZH|
noun
a private box or enclosure in a theater.
• the front section of the first balcony in a theater.
• a similar section in an arena or stadium.

If they added seats shouldn't have the capacity gone up back then? If not why not?

The sales of the additional seats and drink rails is optional, that's why. If demand is not high, they only sell up to the capacity, if demand is high, they then sell the extra space available.

Every building does the same thing.. that's why teams can have consistent crowds that are above capacity... like the Wild did for years. Though even when they did, they still had occasional games of exactly capacity crowds reported as well.

Getting a little confused now because I've heard a couple different reports about what it's going to be. Is it going to be the Bud Light Terrace pictured here:

http://wildloge2012.prod1.sportsdigi...ace-views.html

Or is it going to be the Loge seating similar to what's pictured here:

http://www.nba.com/magic/photos/loge1_574_120810.jpg

Also, 5000 posts.
