The steak and farlic mashed were just as good. A nice steak spice to leave the lips simmering.

Johnny G's - and there are two locations downtown, one at Main and Broadway, as well as one on McDermot in the East Exchange. It is traditionally more of a night eatery, but if you are just looking for a decent burger and fries, decent penne alfredo, decent gyros, etc. it light on the wallet.

I haven't lived in Winnipeg for two years and when I did, I lived in Tuxedo, so I didn't make it downtown much.

Haven't been there in a long time but it's a good value if your a larger family. It's not 5 stars by any means but the op was looking for decent prices.

I liked drinking at Rudys when I was there. Didn't think the meal was good, though my bud raved about his lamb.

I made a reservation at OSF May 24 2011 and May 31 2011 in anticipation of the return of the Jets. I ended up cancelling the May 24 reso but was certainly there on May 31. What a great place to duck in for a meal and beverage while celebrating the return of the Jets.

It's a good restaurant ... if you're eating with children.

I realize this event has passed, but I gotta say, how funny is this comment? By avoiding the little, local, home grown restaurants and going to the faceless chain makes you LESS pretentious??
