That wasn't all that aggressive. It was deep enough that Lawrie should be able to take it but that was just an incredibly perfect throw that most players can't make 90% of the time. I can't blame him for going there.

Cecil was pitching great but then throws his 87 fastball right down the middle.

Reddick is 3rd in MLB in outfield assists. You have to be aware of who you're running on.

That doesn't mean under no circumstances you can run against him. By your logic you should also never try to steal a base since there is always a chance you can be thrown out.

Its ridiculous how bad our Middile infield is right now at hitting. Johnson and Escobar are beyond bad. That Hill or Johnson swap is looking horrible, and Yunel just seems to have completely forgot how to get on base. I also don't see a solution anywhere in the system. Hech is supposed to be an even worse hitter than Yunel, and there is no impact 2B to look forward to. AA has to make some moves to address that area after he gave away a franchise 2B in Hill.

Since it was the 2nd out, it was a justifiable risk to try and go to 3rd as well.

Nice strawman argument there. That's obviously not what I'm saying. I've seen Lawrie get thrown out on the basepaths more than enough times this season, he needs to be smarter.

Haha, "franchise 2B".

His OPS was a vomiting worthy .584 before he got traded. It was .665 the season before that. He was great in 2009 but he looked lost since then.

Not sure why people can't just accept the idea of a change in scenery can help a player and it's certainly helped Hill.
