It was well done. A few minor things I disagree with but nothing major. Other than mini donuts, of course.

I have to say LiG absolutely NAILED it. On every single one. I am so glad he did it and not Reynolds. Congrats LiG for the publish! And again, GREAT work.

I would have said either Davannis or Summit EPA on the food one, but very minor quibble.

Considering how bad most Wild stuff is on the national level, and although I'm not the biggest fan of LiG's blogs, again, just read it and it's fantastic.

i have my own private list i fully acknowledge wouldn't be shared by most of Wild fandom...LiGs list was perfect for majority consensus. I actually would have picked mini-doughnuts too--Davaniis and summit are brands we have deals with and can go away--mini-doughnuts will never go away!
god bless you cute minidoughnut girl!

So, what is the Wild's plan of action if cap is reduced to $58M and there isn't a rollback?

Better not. 16 teams would be over the cap then.

they'd ease into it...there's no way the players association would be down with a reduced cap if it meant half the teams would have to let guys go...would they get picked up? probably most of them, but at the expense of other guys.

Wave their magic wand.

There are teams that would be in more trouble than us, which is why it'll never happen.

I really hope that all of these made-public proposals are just a media pissing contest... Because both sides are insane if they're trying to reach legitimate "middle ground".

also if salaries go down accordingly or if some of the higher end guys can't fit anywhere the league would see more mid level guys leave for europe or the khl. bad for the league.

Bad for the league, bad for the NHLPA.

Both sides lose if players leave the NHL.

Well thanks for the love...even if it was reluctant in places!

I am glad I got the opportunity. My wife really tried to get me to change the team's villain to Doug Risebrough and I thought about it but figured it was too late. I'll admit I struggled with the food / beverage idea because I don't get to as many games as many of you (not to mention I rarely ever buy any food or drink because I feel can get so much more for my $$ just about anyplace else). I figured since it was about the State Fair time, and since we're one of a few states that consider that a big deal, one of the signature foods being included is representative of who "WE" (Minnesota, and the State of Hockey) are made it unique and distinctive.

Thanks again for the praise, it means a lot. I sort of wished he would've asked me who the Wild's best free agent was. Hint: it wouldn't be Parise or Suter either (too early to tell on that).

A ranking of the broadcast teams?!?!

I think I just got an idea for next summer! Yea, I agree, they should've been placed far lower on the list. Although I think after this season (providing we have one of course) I think they'll do their best to earn the bottom spot!

Mini Donuts, I have no idea if they are all over the country, but the smell of mini donuts and coffee/hot chocolate is THE smell I associate with hockey from my childhood. Every game I played, or my uncle played in high school and juniors, or wherever...going to rinks and you smell that funky concrete and ice mixture coming up the stairs, and then the donuts and hot chocolate hits you. It brings me way back.

Best FA would have been interesting...something between Rolston and Johnsson IMO.

Might as well. It's not an original idea (I know SB Nation did it a couple years ago) but one everyone likes.

I would love for LaPanta and Greenlay to prove us wrong for the simple fact of having to listen to 70+ games of bad announcing takes its toll and you know it's bad when even the homers are upset at how homer/slanted it is.

I already hate LaPanta's goal call and I can probably count the number of times I've watched the Gophers on TV on one hand. Not too sure how I'm going to be able to put up with him...

Last season when I wasn't playing FSN Bingo I would put the TV on mute. Surprisingly, I was able to pay attention to the game more and noticed more things going on, like when you watch a game live.

Did they ever announce who's going to call the Gophers? Or is back to another awful rotation?

Not yet. There are some good announcing names who have applied for the job and nothing would be more disappointing than a rotation of FSN personalities.

Then again, it's FSN we're talking about so that's always a chance.

Given the network, I'm guessing Marnie Gellnar, one of the FSN girls, and Mark Parrish doing intermission interviews.

FSN would just be admitting they don't give a **** about hockey or want to troll Gopher fans.
