"When healthy it's easily Kesler. Kesler was playing with Samuelsson and Raymond when he got 41 goals and a Selke." Love that comment.

So, only 1 season = easily Kesler? Heh...

1. The Wild can have no contact with its players and Wild players are forbidden from team facilities except for Pierre-Marc Bouchard. He has not yet been cleared to play from last winter's season-ending concussion, meaning he has access to Wild doctors, treatment from trainers and the gym. If not cleared by Oct. 11, he is entitled to his $4.3 million 2012-13 salary.

4. Yes, whether there's a season or not this year, every player will lose a year on his contract. Bouchard, Niklas Backstrom, Matt Cullen and Stephane Veilleux are in the last year of their deals and could become free agents next summer. Cal Clutterbuck, Marco Scandella, Jared Spurgeon and Justin Falk are the NHL guys in the last year of their deals that could become restricted free agents.
It's official: NHL players are locked out

I see the Wild have stripped down the website quite a bit due to the lockout. That whole "no promotion of players" thing I suppose.

So butch says he's at 95% in regards to recovery now? Seriously? Dude, just retire already!!!! Has the lengthy recovery times for the last 2 concussions not raised a big red fooking flag yet? One more concussion and you may not recover at all! Don't risk it!

Maybe hes just taking the recovery slow so he can still get a paycheck.

That's what I would do in his situation with this lockout.

Love Butch but he does need to retire. If he's not healed by now, it's time to be very, very concerned. One hit and he could be in serious trouble.

If someone recovering from a concussion is "95%" the 5% remaining is conditioning, not anything lingering from PCS.

Wait, a soft-but-skilled player does well in the KHL? And his name isn't every Russian who couldn't hack it in the NHL?

This gets a big 'ol "MEH" from me. Everyone knew he had the hands, he just couldn't stand the physical side.

Mathias Weinhandl? Yeah, he is actually quite talented, just a bit too soft. He is well known to Finns as well for being a Tre Kronor veteran.

By the way, Petteri Nummelin. What memories does the name bring to you? I always looked at him in the Wild bit through blue-tinted glasses but I remember him as a shootout specialist mainly.

Skoula is a top pairing defenseman over in the KHL. Just saying.

I couldn't watch that game...

It's so sloppy, I saw more form when the Aeros played in their camp.

It's pond hockey with a couple big names, except no one has their legs under them well enough to take advantage of it.

(I'm assuming you're talking about the KHL game)

The first period was awful, sloppy, and just not enjoyable to watch. It was like the cpu players from NHL 12 on rookie difficulty. The second period wasn't nearly so bad, and actually seemed like decent hockey. I more or less tuned out the third (other than that ugly goal) so I can't really comment on that part.

Nummi was great at the shootout! didn't we play him at forward a couple games? or was that someone else?

Not just him but yes.

It sounds right but can't remember if Bergeron did. I know Burns was one and believe Big John Scott had a couple games up front too.
