Any suggestions of what options I should add to the poll? I am open to suggestions.

Anyways, I personally see him as a depth D Man. I do love his size.

It's hard to say, we'll have to see more of him before making any conclusions. He sat out the entire 2010-2011 season so he lost a good year of development. From the limited stuff of him I've seen though it seems he played reasonably well this season.

If he can put it altogether he could be a pretty reliable, imposing d-man. He's 6'6" and weighs 225+ lbs. A project but we'll see how he comes along.

As of now I'll just say depth d-man, but that could change in the future.

Big D with some pretty good wheels and scores a few points at the NCAA level, but doesn't throw his weight around enough to be considered a real threat as a bottom pairing defenceman. Kind of the same sort of "project" situation that Olden is in at the centre position, as he is seen as more of a skill player because nothing else really stands out.

That being said, I don't really know enough about a player who isn't likely to be ranked on the top 30 leafs prospects list three years after his draft to make even a semi accurate prediction as to what his career potential could theoretically be. I do, however, believe that in this time of great off-season boredom it is a faithful leafs fans duty to gather with others of his/her own kind to pointlessly discuss the lesser knowns of the organizational depth charts and debate the merits and purposes of such discussions.

To blindly and wildly hurl hurriedly developed opinions over our own proposed trade speculations and other upper managerial decisions, formulated the instant the topic of discussion has been put forth both justifies the legitimacy of our fandom in our own eyes and gives credence to time spent monitoring these boards for news of quantifiable change within the organization.

Even when this time could be better devoted a range of more deserving tasks, like sleeping perhaps, a dedicated and noble follower of the faith deems this time as being necessary to developing theories, and ranking the least likely to ever find a place on the roster, and gathering others opinions as to strengthen their own position or gain deeper insight into what those with the counter argument have been able to uncover with a quick search of google.

As such I do applaud those willing to sacrifice both their time and wandering minds to such tasks, and wish for more pointless polls and proposals in the near future ranging from topics like "Which of the Marlies over the age of 25 has the best chance of making the jump to the leafs roster next year only to sign a one way contract with another team in the following off season?" or "How many goals will Kadri score when placed on the wing of the 3rd line if centred by Bozak, that is if he isn't put on the 2nd line as a centreman with both Frattin and MacArthur as his wings?"or even "If you could only upgrade at one position this offseason, what would it be, #1 centre, starting goltender, or changes to the goal buzzer?"

I personally enjoy the opportunity scroll through the pages of opinions, and suggestions and read the most cunning remarks about wasted time, stupid decisions, false hope, and general armchair managerial-ism that makes this board so great. It really gets me through the monotonous summer months between seasons and I hope it continues. Afterall, the preseason is still 2 months away, Burke moves are less predictable then a major solar flare, and I can't be watching porn all the time.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if he makes the NHL and even moreso in Toronto. There's just too many good players in front of him on the depth chart.

None of the above option makes some sense.

I watched him closely in the development camp and there's no doubt he's a behemoth, but the one thing I was thoroughly unimpressed with him about was his shot. It's so amateur. I couldn't believe how bad of a shot someone of his height had.

Then again, it was only one camp.

My feelings as well. I'd be very pleasantly surprised if he even makes it to the NHL. He essentially missed a whole year as he was a healthy scratch his entire freshman year, but he bounced back and had a pretty solid sophmore season at UNH. Two more years there and then maybe he can make the jump to the AHL. If not, he may need a year or two in the ECHL.

Considering he was a healthy scratch in his entire NCAA rookie season, i'm not getting my hopes up.

No offense but that's a very stupid thing to consider given his team doesn't play rookies lol.

A healthy scratch for an entire season is called a red-shirt freshman who doesn't use any eligability. It's done in all NCAA sports.

I had heard that he grew his game quite considerably.

Not sure if he'll ever make it here though.

Good to hear.

I look forward to his signing, When ever it comes.
