Ranking the Oilers 'Big-4' - Poll #2

If you could only keep one, ignoring positional need, who do you take?

Results:
1. Nugent-Hopkins - 62.18%
2. ?

Coppernblue.com recently utilized a panel of eight 'blogger experts' and came out with this order:

Taylor Hall LW/C
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins C
Nail Yakupov RW
Jordan Eberle RW

My order?
1. Taylor Hall
2. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
3. Jordan Eberle
4. Nail Yakupov

If you're going to make multiple polls, it doesn't make much sense to include "it's a wash" as an option.

In terms of raw talent I think Yakupov deserves to win this poll. Which of the three will be most valuable to the Oilers in the future? Time can only tell.

If Jordan Eberle... a guy who scored 76 points at age 21 is truly the 4th best of that group... that paints a pretty damn bright picture for the future of the Oilers... of course we all already knew that without a panel of "experts" having to tell us that.

Voted Eberle, but I hoping it never comes to this in real life!

Hall for me, he still looks like he hasn't finished maturing physically yet. When he gets bigger and stronger he will be a beast. That and he seems like a born leader and a guy that everyone gravitates to.

I picked Hall, he is younger the Ebs but the way he plays the game is so important to this team. You really noticed it when he was out for the season.

Ebs for me.

Hall could have a short career unless he changes his style of play and Yakupov hasn't played a game yet.

Hall's raw talent may not be better but is just as good. Add in a couple mem cup MVP awards, leadership, NHL experience and he should get the nod IMO.

that option is for people who can choose between 2 strong contenders but still like to vote ..

kinda like the people who vote for Liberals in Alberta

Hall.

While he does somewhat lack in hockey sense compared to the others, he bring more heart and will than the rest of them combined.

Hes the most entertaining to watch too imo.

I can't really rank Yakupov yet, but for me this is easily Eberle.

I think it should be Hall, the future oilers' captain.

they are all very good, strong potential to be great. it's close between RNH and Hall for me. Hall will be a better version of Dustin Brown (same intangibles, and score more goals). RNH will be the next Modanno/Larinov. Ebs not far behind, however

too soon to call Yakupov.

Good one! All joking aside I hope that he continues to improve his speed, that IMO will be the difference between him reaching his potential and not.

Great idea to do a poll on this subject matter. It's kind of like polling customers of Tim Hortens who makes the best coffee.

Maybe we should wait until all 4 have actually played in the NHL or just stick to doing a poll of the top 3. Adding Nail to the poll was a large fail.

I voted Eberle, but just because I like him over Hall. I'm surprised Hall didn't win the first poll TBH

Either way, I'm not gonna fight you over who you prefer. I think we can all agree that Yakupov is 4th on the list though.

Right now... As OP said though, it's not really fair to include him. He could score 50 goals this year and be by far our best player
