Geez Barney. That sucks but he could have taken it right in the small of the back if he didn't duck.

My MLB.tv feed crapped out...but thankfully ESPN is actually showing the look-in instead of talking about the Jets training camp for once.

Barney...that's gotta hurt...but...dude, don't do that. The middle of the back hurts a hell of a lot less than the damn head.

Both pitches were very close to the strike zone, umpire could have given it to him

Could have gotten a call from the ump on the inside fastball, but it is was a ball.

Great outing, would love to see him get the CG shutout.

Well poop.

I just want to see one so damn badly. The Cordova/Rincon combined no-no wasn't televised.

That ump can **** off. Just give it to him!

I was as nervous there as I was for game 7 in 09.

Not the umpires fault at all...this isn't Jerry Meals we're talking about but it was just as heartbreaking. Hopefully this doesn't lead to the downward spiral but I guess that started at the beginning of the month eh Jaded Fan?

If this team lets a 5-0 WIN lead to anything remotely negative they deserve to lose.

Both of those pitches were balls...but in that situation (veteran with a no-hitter going against a rookie) it's almost always given to the pitcher. Greg Maddux's strike zone was the size of Uranus when he played against our sad-sack team.

They were balls, though. It just sucks to see Cardenas recover and get a hit when there were two pitches that even the Cubs fans wanted called strikes.

it woulda been nice, but I hope nobody is ever mad at a ref or ump for making the right call. you can be mad it got called that way, but you can't really be mad AT anybody
