it woulda been nice, but I hope nobody is ever mad at a ref or ump for making the right call. you can be mad it got called that way, but you can't really be mad AT anybody
Anyone mad about it is way out of their element.
Disappointed about it is a completely different story.

for sure. great interview. He seems like a great guy. I never really followed baseball as closely as I am right now; I had no idea pitchers cared who their catcher was aside from wanting the best teammates possible. Is it more about the decision making part of the catcher than the mechanics of it I'd guess? He mentioned how Barajas lets him go out there and not have to think about anything. Does he just call a better game than Fort in general or is it more of an individual familiarity thing?
Aj is a boss. I want someone to dig up the old posts of people saying how terrible and washed up he was and how bad the trade was.

Brad Lincoln was decent in long relief. Why not just give him the 5th spot in the rotation? At least with him, we're not certain he's awful.

Barajas caught Burnett when they played for the Blue Jays.
Also, just on experience alone I'm sure Barajas calls a better game than McKenry.
Barajas is a veteran renown for calling a good game...and Burnett's best post-Florida/pre-Pittsburgh season came with Barajas catching him, so there's a comfort factor.

Which makes you believe that the Pirates will sign Barajas for another year. (IIRC, he is just signed for this year)
