Douglas Murray

Just curious if Murray is available and what the cost for him would be.

I'd love to see him on the Jets dishing out huge hits.

Would a 2nd be enough for Murray?

That's more a deadline type deal, if the sharks are out of the running.

Right now, it probably costs us a Read-like return.

Braun still has to make Murray expendable

Would be nice addition to solidify Flyers or Jets D.

Also, what's the value of Mark Stuart?

If we're out of contention at the deadline, then he could probably fetch a 1st at the deadline.

If we're in contention, then we have no reason to trade him unless it makes us a better team now.

Is Murray a bottom pairing D-man at this point in his career?

Ryan jones and a 2nd (30-40th more then likely)

Or is that to low for value?

On the Sharks yes:

Burns-Vlasic
Stuart-Boyle
Demers/Braun-Murray

On most teams I would say he is 4-5.

With his injured throat last year he was. Time will tell if he is healed from that. I think a lot of people underestimate how much getting his throat injured affected him.

I will say though that I am expecting Murray to thrive in that role this year. He in my opinion is the perfect bottom pairing defenseman. His style of play is most effective with fewer minutes. He is not a JayBo type who can go out there and skate effortlessly for 30 minutes. He is the type that can go out there and tear **** up for 13.

I'd do that. Jones was a legit third liner last time I checked.

have to include a 7th to get it done.

DW loves his 7ths.
