This has to be a first, then, absolutely NO arbitration hearings this year!

That is, no arbitration hearings for restricted free agents. Technically, Visnovsky has an upcoming arbitration hearing.

Very happy to have him resigned, Torts definitely showed him what he had to do to stay in the NHL. He went out there and consistently played physical and solid defense, and in the playoffs he played great. It took him awhile to get used to playing solid defense and offense, but once he got the defense part down he was more comfortable skating with the puck again.

Wow, 2 years? That's a shocker. Stralman showed he had alot of upside this past year & I think he will get a little better with a full NYR camp & will be a solid better pairing & will help on the PP.

He wanted some stability, probably would not sign a 1 year deal. McIlrath will be playing soon though (probably next year..), so unless Sauer never recovers or gets injured again it seems like he would move to the 7th defenseman

If cap friendly I see the 2 years.
Think he does want Sweden but not $$$$$$$ KHL dollars.
This is decent + $$ for 2 years, then he can semi-retire to Sweden.

18 points is pretty good for a third pairing dman, plus he had 3 or 4 goals in the playoffs. Solid signing.

Overrated!

To much giveaways and too softy. Don't like him at all. But sure 6th or 7th spot and play 4-5 min/game only in the offensive zone. He may limit the misstakes!

...and I am from Sweden

that was him a few years ago, yes

have you seen him with NYR last season? He was a completely different player defensively. He is no Girardi, but he played a lot better in his own end and was even rather physical.

haha not sure how he's overrated, no one thinks he's anything better than a third pairing guy. And he's a solid one at that.

As a Leaf fan I really like(d) him, good signing. Rangers look scary next year so a good chance at the cup

The Score ‏@theScore
Rangers re-sign D Anton Stralman to a 2-year deal reportedly worth $3.4 million.

I have no idea if this is a reputable source, just copy pasting

The Score is a Toronto sports station. I remember watching it while in Toronto. If that's the actual twitter, the amount is legit.
