Jim Johnson scares the hell outta me. Those last two outs were smoked.

Don't know what I'd do if I were Buck and the O's were up by 1 heading into the bottom of the 9th tomorrow.

Still put in JJ. He's never pretty. Just like Sherill was, **** gets hairy with him on the mound but he somehow pulls it off. The Yanks have had more success against JJ than most teams, but I still trust him to be the guy.

Was nice to see Strop look terrific again.

They need to be more patient at the plate and someone needs to brainwash Jones into thinking he's playing for a contract.

Otherwise, go O's!

Anyone want to join me and Tarasco and jet up to NY, park ourselves in the right center bleachers, and run a little security detail?

It will include confiscating little punk ass cheaters tiny gloves, of course.

In case anyone besides me is wondering, their chief punk fan Maier will not be in attendance

I am sure there is an entire breed behind him ready to fill his tiny shoes. Be ready to battle Atlas. I am sure Cal will jump out of the booth to help out.

I would like to see that "HR" removed off Jeter's ledger.

Buck sure gives a nice in-game interview. Nice back and forth with the guys in the booth. The HC for the Wiz, don't remember his name, is the same way. Compared to Mr. BS Shanahan and Mr. Excitement GMGM, its refreshing.

*edit*

They tape those interviews between innings, not live during the game. Still refreshing.

Orioles making it real interesting in the eighth.

...and a brain cramp from Sabbathia loads the bases. Huge opportunity!

Comes right back with a K, and two outs.

Ugh, heartbreaking. Definitely prefer being competitive to another footnote season. But it hurts so much worse to lose when you have hope.

One hell of a season. Sad to see it end.

3-0, no outs. Werth double, Harper triple, Zimmerman home run. Nice. This would sure be a great night for Wainwright to unravel completely.

Hey, that's a cool stat I had not heard before: The Nationals were the second highest draw on the road this season.

I imagine playing in Philly and NY helps quite a bit (then again, playing in Miami doesn't...) but yeah, really cool.

Like Christmas. 4-0, Harper on the board. Zimmerman then hits for a double.

Morse homers, 6-0. Big game stakes notwithstanding, it's also nice for the confidence to see some of the quieter bats coming alive. Man, it really is all about pitching. Wainwright chased from the game.

Amazing what no shadows + a bit of time to recover from strep seems to be doing for their bats.

Sucks bad that the O's lost, to the Yankees no less, but the Boys fought to the bitter end. Gave the Yankees all they could handle. Damn fine effort.
