Do you put Bozak as the #3 center if JVR works out? Do you put Bozak at wing? Is Bozak desirable enough among other teams that we can use him to upgrade a position? What would you do with him?
I think it will make for an interesting trade deadline. Also If Kadri and Frattin earn permanent spots we will likely be moving out pending ufas such as bozak, Steckel and MacArthur.

Obviously wingers switching to centre rarely works for any substantial amount of time, especially to fill a top role. I certainly hope he can fill the role that we desperately need, but reason would tell you that it is very unlikely.

To me it is all smoke and mirrors.

Distract fans from the fact we dont have a number one and don't have the chips to get one.He may be good but 3 goal scorers on one line? Dubious....

I made the poll because I kept seeing people creating mock lineups for next year that included JVR as #1 center resulting in having various other players on the wings and other players expendable due to the lineup. Wanted to see if I was apart of the minority or majority in whether he will fit there centering Kessel and Lupul or not. Thus I was looking for predictions and I was expecting them to be based on people's knowledge of the type of player JVR is.

No, he will not play center. I see him as our 2nd line LW. I would obviously love for him to become that big #1 center we need.

If JVR can make the switch back to centre, having a skilled left-shot to make give and go plays with Kessel and dish to either winger for one-timers could make the top line very dangerous indeed.

There's a reason that Carlyle is a coach and we aren't. It doesn't hurt to try him at centre. If it doesn't work, put him back on the wing. Either way, we still have JVR on our roster.

But all in all I just don't see him being that #1 center we are looking for, which is too bad.

It's kinda like the time Burke signed Stu Percy to distract us from the fact Kris Versteeg was scoring point.

We used Versteeg all wrong, that trade was probably not in the best interest of Toronto. I dont know but I think it possible his singing annoys people and his practical jokes. Hope the pick pans out, but if he breaks 60 next season, well...

Its no worse that the Kessel leaving or Phaneufs next contract threads.

Burke said this isn't the team he's taking into the season, so we have to see who he lands before we know who the candidates are.

exactly. he will be tried. it's been said.

if the poll asked will he stay that would be another story.

I would much rather see Kadri centre Kessel and Lupul.

Most likely this is the team we're taking into the next season.

We'll see how he does during camp, we can just hope he fits in and can provide 50ish points and does well enough as the role. If not, then he'll def be on the wing on the 2nd line. JVR provides good net presence who's hard to knock out, drives to net and can score.

Well he certainly won't center the second line, since that's Grabovski's job, and he does a pretty good job of it.

What I'm really hoping for is the Leafs make a deal with a team that overestimates their talent, get a lottery pick out of the deal, and end up making the playoffs while at the same time picking McKinnon in the draft. However this probably won't happen.

We should trade Columbus for a first round pick.

Ya, the Nash deal has shown that their GM is a horrible negotiator, might as well try and fleece him out of another franchise player.

I think you guys must have all missed the interview where Carlyle said

"JVR will get more than just a little look at C"

They are basically going to force it to work, which should make all us happy
