i expected to get killed, so i'm really not too upset. washington is a moron and i already knew that. this likely eliminates us from acc championship contention unless vt really blows it, but again i didn't expect that this year either. it's a building year. hopefully vad lee gets to start some games later on in the season.

i was actually impressed with the defense. it's just been awful since chan gailey's last recruiting class left. special teams was also impressive since they've been our achilles' heel for a while.

vt is the best team we play all year aside from uga and maybe clemson. if the d and special teams can stay half this good, our offense should feast on lesser competition with less time to prepare for us. i'd be happy with an 8 win season.

Purdue has a lot of vets on the team and they have the potential to make some noise this year. And by "noise" I mean 8 wins which is better than previous years.

I went to the ND @ Purdue game last year at Ross Ade (night game on ESPN) and, despite the score, it was a friggin blast.

We have solid depth at RB and a good defense. I'm not sure if they can beat ND but we'll give them fits..Watch out for #99

Notre Dame is so overrated. They're ranked for no other reason than their name.

Wait til they start playing competitive teams. Navy is inexperienced this season.

That is terrible considering it's not that far of a trip.

Pitt looked atrocious in the first half too.

People always eat it on those steps when they run down it for pregame. And the fact the band doesn't practice doing that before an actual performance is just as dumb as running down stairs in the first place.

Part of me feels a bit bad for that trumpet's fall making it on TV. The other part laughs at it. At least he kept going through the notes despite not having his mouthpiece haha.

Some pretty interesting games on the schedule this weekend. Let's see if Texas A&M and Mizzou can back up their talk against the SEC.

Hope Texas A&M beats the Gators in A&M's SEC opener.

Also hope Virgina kicks Penn State some more while they're down.

And it would be awesome if my UNH Wildcats could take down a Big Ten team. They're @ Minnesota.

The helmets are awesome!

Temple is complete ****. Two of their turnovers have been a botched handoff and a snap going over the QB's head for a safety. One of Maryland's TD's was a fumbled snap that the QB then ran in.

That said I'm enjoying this after last year's train wreck vs Temple that killed the season.

I do like the jerseys, it's just the helmets I'm trying to figure out. Of course I'm also one of the few people that liked those state pride uniforms, even with the crazy half & half helmets.

Yea I imagine this has to feel so much better after last week against William & Mary

Miami caught a beating today. One of the worst losses in their history, at least in terms of the score.

Why is Syracuse playing a home game vs USC in the meadowlands? Syracuse is a full 5 hours from NJ.

And it shows as the place is empty

It's 4 hours but yeah really dumb. It's for "exposure and an opportunity for NYC alums to go to a game'
