And a critical part of the Vikings D is ejected because an official wanted a little more face time.

Well, at least they aren't the scabs.

That and the explanation on the head to head hit (which I'm almost certain is now illegal for any player at any point on the field) was that "since he dove head first he was a runner, therefore it's not a head to head hit."

If the Vikings played in the NHL I'm sure someone would have a "regress to the mean" article up on Monday.

But hey, 4-1!

Dear God I just watched the knee injury at the end of the game...ugh.

Ponder...really good and then got cocky with some really dumb throws.

Percy. Harvin. ****.

Strong defense, good O-line play, Blair MF'in Walsh.....when do we get excited for them to make the playoffs (and then choke :laugh)?

Bumgarner sucks, Bochy sucks, the entire Giants lineup sucks... everything sucks.

But most importantly: Bettman sucks. Normally when the baseball playoffs suck I can just look forward to hockey starting that week.

We have to rack up Ws before the final 6 games of the season, those have the potential to be rough.

Yes, because payroll always = success. The Athletics never spent a lot because they always had quality players. When they had the rotation of Mulder, Zito and Hudson? They didn't overachieve this year. They've been competitive and will always be competitive with their GM.

BTW; tell me when Minnesota has a top 10 prospect group? Right now they rank in the 20s...

They're not gonna fool me again. They're not gonna fool me again. They're not gonna fool me again. They're not gonna fool me again!

Ehhhh......yeah, they'll probably fool me again.

The scary thing is that they have the schedule that making the playoffs isn't exactly impossible. If 10-6 makes the playoffs, that's 6-5 the rest of the year (and it's always possible 9-7 makes the playoffs). From the rest of the schedule there's some really winnable games: Washington, Arizona, Tampa, Seattle, Detroit, and St. Louis are all realistic wins. Sneaking out a win against Green Bay or Chicago is always possible. Houston could be sitting starters when the Vikes play them too.

So, I think we can all count on a week 17 "win and in" failure with an extremely unlikely tiebreaker scenario keeping the team out of the playoffs which comes to pass on a fluke play by a team already out of it.

Words cannot express how badly I want Baltimore to beat the Yankees.

I just love it when a big spending team gets spanked by a smaller market team. Hence why I don't have a lot of respect for baseball, you can practically buy your championships since there's no salary cap.

Percy Harvin is just crazy good. That is all. I feel pretty confident in saying that he's the best offensive player (non QB) in the league.

The Vikings are the shock of the season so far no question. Everyone thought they were gonna be garbage.

Who, Chris Johnson? I think I picked him 2nd overall last season and got completely screwed. Him or Arian Foster. I've always been screwed with RB's.

MLB actually scheduled the win-or-go-home game 5 of the Giants-Reds NLDS at noon today. So in SF, that means ten o'clock AM on a weekday. What the actual ****? Why do game 4's get primetime preference over game 5's?* How can they possibly be this terrible at scheduling?

*Spoiler: because Yankees.
