19th in the NHL for pts/gm for players who played at least half the season not really bad for a "down" year... only 18 Dmen produced more than him
I agree with you for most guys it's not a bad year but by his standards it's not a good year. He set the bar high with those 50+ point seasons. I'll give the guy a break it was a new system and he bailed out Buff all the time tho. I think Toby is up for the challenge 60 points next year book it!
So for fun I created a projection using Enstrom's pts/gm to determine what he should of had if he played 82 game seasons both his 2 last seasons that were shortened....
Excellent contract super happy that he is staying! Chevy is havingan exceptional offseason and is proving to be amongst the best of his class when it comes contract negotiatons.

So much for his "off" year makes me feel even better about him!
Interesting. Those totals for the last year are for a team that played much more conservatively (and probably a little better) than the previous teams. Those who try to determine Enstrom's value by a pure statistical comparison will not get a true idea of his full value.

Oh ya... stats without context and observation is meaningless... but this helps fend off the people who are scared he had serious regression this year
Machecek still awaits finner details to be worked out http://capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=7
And hopefully a trade for an awesome LH PK specialist D
I agree, that's pretty much my #1 want for the roster right now. The sad part is I'm pretty sure management is fine with the situation they have currently.
I'm guessing that if Noel notices a problem with the PK after 20 games or so then something might get done.
Great to have Enstrom in the fold for the next half decade. Guy goes out and does his job every night, very few let downs. And on Chevy's end, another real good value signing. This has been a very productive and efficient offseason for the Jets.

Otherwise Klingberg + 2nd for Henrik Tallinder?
I think it has more to do with Hainsey and his ntc. I'm sure Chevy would like to upgrade that spot with the type of player you mentioned but probably won't be able to address the issue tell next offseason when Ron is off the books.
Good to have Toby locked up. Just gotta hope 2011/2012 was a down year because we need better production outta him
It was a down year and much more is expected of him.
Quote:
“We see him continuing to get better in a lot of different areas,” said Chevy. “He feels very, very comfortable with his surroundings in Winnipeg and on this team. On the ice, we believe there is room for growth within his game. I feel the injury really set him back last year the way it happened early in the season and it was difficult at times for him to get back into the rhythm. But again, he is someone that has incredible hockey sense that skates very well and plays the game the way we want to continue to play.”
I remember last season Bogo took the puck on an end-to-end rush and roofed it - bar-high, unfortunately...but if he'd scored, that would've been in the running for Play of the Year on TSN.
He's done that a few times actually. Usually during lazy line changes.
