the difference between Carle and Johnson sure isnt a guy who scored 30 last season IMO.

Besides, while being great offensively, JJ isnt much better that Carle defensively.

and the gritt you gained by getting Paille is the gritt you lost by letting Clarkson go.

Clarkson and Paille were the missing links to get the deal done, now don't pound my team like you've done since these trade talks have started.

not pouding YOUR team, just stating an opinion, one that you dont have to agree with (and I dont expect you to).

********TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT***********

In a continuation of their efforts to get younger, the Calgary Flames have made a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers. They have received Justin Falk and Jakub Voracek

Going the other way are Alec Martinez and Alex Tanguay

While it saddens us to see a veteran and fan-favourite like Alex go, as well as a promising young defenseman like Alec, we believe this trade adds some goal-scoring, as well as some serious grit to our lineup. We thank Alex for his time as a Flame and wish him well.

We have our number one defenseman. After an hour and a half working the phones between GMs and trade commissioners we finally have this deal. We feel we get the best player in the deal and while it hurts to lose Carle, a great top pairing defenseman, and Clarkson, a great top six winger, Paille will add much-needed grit.

Confirm.
We get our Milan Lucic replacement in Clarkson , and we get Matt Carle to replace Johnson. We are now done working the phones as our lineup is pretty much set.

Boston must place Jordan Caron on waivers to reach the roster limit.

have about 2 mil in cap space, so I'm trying to strengthen my top six before I hand in the final roster. PM me with offers, and Sami Salo is readily available for trade. Also, inquire within about any players except for SS, Vinny, MSL, and Schneids.

CONNOLLY MAY BE TRADED FOR TOP SIX HELP.

While Gaborik and Richards would like to be traded, they realize trading players of their caliber is difficult, and they are both fully prepared to be NYR when the puck drops

(In other words: don't offer a handful of third liners for either. Comparable talent only)

The use their amnesty buy out which doesn't count against the cap on Ville Leino making him a free agent and giving us 4.5m in extra cap.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

From Long Island to the mile high city, Michael Grabner is now a member of the Colorado Avalanche

Michael Grabner

Tim Erixson
Joey Hishon
2014 1st

At the start of yesterday, we had Jamie McGinn on the top line LW. Adding Michael Grabner today, and Alex Semin and Max Pacioretty yesterday, we are very happy with our depth at every position. We thank the New York Islanders for a smooth and easy trade.
