No. If they lose it'll be because the players didn't perform.

Wow.

Ask any GM/Coach/Player/Analysts/etc, Chicago is the definition of a cup contender.

Probably not. I wouldn't. Given a number of the people you are likely referring to as "Bowman haters" think just like I do, I don't doubt it's the same way for them.

The way this team is playing EVERYONE is immune to their faults; that's obvious. It doesn't mean they are all perfect. Bottom line is everyone is playing together, with a purpose and playing well.

Clearly all credit for this start belongs to Bob Pulford.

No Chicago is the definition of a talented team, but regular season and the play-offs are 2 very different things, and more so in hockey then any other sport.

This team will be a Cup contender when they have shown it in the play-offs, which they have failed to do the last 2 years.

If they team fails in the play-offs is will partly be on the players, it will partly be on the managment for not getting the right players. I know I am not alone when I am not 100% sold on this team in the play-offs. This is almost the exact same team as last year when EVERYONE! but me and a few others where already making plans for the 2nd round because the Hawks would destroy the Yotes only to get punched in the mouth and let on the sidewalk bleeding.

Anyone who looks past anyone in the playoffs is being foolish. The NHL playoffs are a crapshoot.

Chicago is a cup contender now. End of story.

If, a big if at this point, the Hawks don't make any moves and lose in the first round then Stan and possibly Q should get fired.

I'm fine with that. I'm happy with the way things are going but I still don't think either of those individuals is essential. It's about the players.

Stan won't be fired regardless of the outcome. I personally wouldn't want Q fired, but I don't think his job would be as safe if the Hawks lost in the first round.

If they lose in the 1st round, they should make some bold trades (ie/Sharp, Bolland, and Leddy or Hammer). It won't be managements fault, they have a cup contender already with the players they brought in. I'd be OK with coaching taking some of the blame, but this hasn't happened yet and the team is the best in the league right now. No need to even talk about it.
