I hate them both. Commercials have been getting muted immediately ever since they started.

I'd happily take the perv-face Toews commercials back.

Two commercials I really ****ing despise right now, Hamsters and the Pig. Everytime that pig comes on with the cop, I'm like "Execute him", "Give him the chair", "Go Rodney King on his stank ass"

Yup. The winner of the Cup is determined more by luck than by skill, probably. The Hawks are certainly a Cup contender as are probably 12-15 other teams. The Hawks are not so much better than the next team that their odds are significantly greater to win it all. All you can do is give yourself a good chance at it.

Everyone loves this argument about "they lost two years in a row in first round" and act like that means anything. The playoffs are not inherently significantly different from the regular season. The OT is the only difference, and once a game goes to OT, it is, like you said, a crapshoot. Even moreso at that point.

The one where they were skating on the ice with the Chevy trucks or the text messaging one? So much bad to choose from.

Except you play the same team every night and goals are generally more difficult to come by. The latter isn't always the case but over the last 50 years I think only a handful of seasons have seen scoring increase come playoff time.

The song in the KIA commercial is pretty sweet, but the actual commercial itself is terrible.

The 'we stand vigil' Chevy commercial is almost as bad as that Dell Streak ad they did after winning the Cup.

Good on Kane for believing in the sanctity of marriage.

Toews' "**** time" face gets me everytime

I recently bought a KIA soul. When people ask me what that is I just say the hamster car.

The play-offs are very different then the regular season, at least 50% of the interference calls made this season won't be called in the play-offs, then add hooking, tripping, etc and the games become very different, more about who can muscle out victories and not who can talent out victories. Talent has loads to do with it obviously but find me a weak, smaller, finesse team to win the Cup in the last decade?

Detroit - 2009...they sure as hell didn't muscle their way to victory.

Which is why the Penguins beat them in 2009, if you mean the 2008 Red Wings, they had McCarty, Maltby, Franzen, Draper, Homstrom, Kopecky, Cleary, Drake, a group of guys who could muscle and pound their way to a Cup win.

That doesn't seem much different than Carcillo, Bolland, Shaw, Bickell, Hossa, Mayers etc

The forwards who played all 22 games for them in '08: Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Hudler, Samuelsson, Filppula, Draper, Drake, Cleary. Not exactly a murderer's row of grit.

So they were able to finesse their way to the Cup final, but there was no possible way they could have won?

Sorry, meant 2008.

And give me a break, those guys didn't pound there way to victory, they finessed there way to victory. We are not much lighter in terms of 'heaviness' as that team. Give it up.
